For some reason, (Might be because of ****ty dial up) I can't get the download to work, it just says "Cannot find server."

Weird.

That sucks, cuz it sounds like you probably know what you're talking about. But yeah, it is a 29MB file, so I don't know if it'll work over dial-up.

Nevermind, it wasn't working cause someone kept trying to call, but I'm taking a little vacation this weekend, so I'll d/l and tell you what I think Sunday night.

Alright, finally got around to downloading this, (took 2 and half hours on dial up) and I must say at 1st glance (and don't take this the wrong way) I was impressed. I was expecting something a big more noobish, but what I found was something with a good backround that just needs some tuneups.
I'll break my post into several points for ease of understanding.

1. STAY IN THE AIR! It seemed to me that you liked to stay on the ground. Now I don't know if that's good or not, but it seems to me that Pikachu needs to stay more arial. I saw an occasional Dair, but I really didn't see any SHFFLC Nair's... :(

2. GOTTA HIT THOSE LC's. That was the biggest problem that I saw, it didn't seem like you hit a single L cancel on those Dair's you pulled off, now I know it didn't seem like much in that fight, but against the pro's you gotta LC at least 90% of the time.

3. MIX IT UP! Everytime you approached it seemed like you either WDed backwards or you just ran forward into a JCed Usmash (Which I was impressed with :) ), but you gotta come up with something else to do, otherwise your opponent will start predicting your pattern. Everyone could always use more jolts. :)

4. JCED GRABS? Where were those? You gotta JC his grab, because his normal dash grab is horrible if missed. Not to mention that JCing increases the range by a tiny bit.

5. QUICK ATTACKS! The first couple of quick attacks you did, you didn't special cancel, which I'm sure you know. The lag that SCing eliminates is critical in a serious fight. I did come to appreciate the odd angles and the sporatic times you QAed though.

6. EDGE GUARDING! It seemed like you were doing an okay job with this for whom you were fighting, but I find that (on Marth especially) you have to throw out some jolts as he's trying to come back to the ledge, or you can always jump out and Dair, if that's more your style.

General things : Less F-tilts the lag isn't worth the knockback at low %'s
When you hit with a cross up Nair I find its best to LC into a Dsmash
I find that's its better on Marth to use the Dthrow than any other direction, because it's leaves open the possibility of a follow up, and chain throwing if they can't DI
More Nairs less Dairs, I really can't stress this enough.
Be careful about using the "Attack up off the ledge" because of the shoddy range.
Also, if you miss a grab or attack, don't just immediately try the same thing again, as that can lead to bad news for Pikachu.

Things I liked : Thunder Flipping
Jolts were nicely place
WDing back is something I do a lot too!
JCing into Usmash was very nice indeed.
The Dash attack to knock em off the edge was cool.
Most Smash attacks were placed well.
You hit most of your techs.
You seemed to DI well.


All in all it seems like you have a pretty solid Pikachu, but you're just missing pieces of the puzzle to make it all fit together.

1. You're right about ariels. I think in this case it had to do with both the character I was playing against and his style. For some reason, it just seemed to be quite effective

2. lol! Those dairs were just me screwing up trying to do an n-air. heh. Sorry

3. Yeah, I gotta do that more often. When I play my friend's peach, I have no choice because of those darn turnips

4. I still haven't incorporated JC grabs yet. I'm working on it! :)

5. Wait, what's special cancel?!

6. Yeah, I'm trying to be a bit more aggressive. Working on that too

AGain, thanks for the critique. I really appreciate the time and effort! I'll be practicing all this like crazy these next few days, as I got a tournament coming up.

I think with special cancel he means landfallspecial lag.
