View Full Version : FFC N-Cubed Tournament info! Omaha, NE Nov. 25th & 26th

It's been quite some time since our last Smash tournament here at FFC, but I am pleased to announce that we have dates set for the next tournament. Set to be part of our annual fighting game tournament, N-Cubed, Smash will be among the various games for play. While the times for Smash may change, we will be having Smash on Saturday, November 26th. We are currently going to shoot for starting at 11:30AM so that we can run both singles and teams.
So far, our game lineup is looking like this (for those who may wish to enter other tournaments as well)
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Soul Calibur III
Tekken 5
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Capcom vs. SNK 2
Street Fighter III: Third Strike
Guilty Gear XX: #Reload
Finally, being that this is usually a big event, we plan to have some pretty nice goodies for tournament winners. More on that a bit closer to the event though. Details and pre-registration for the tournament are posted at http://www.familyfuncenter.net/tournaments/

Alright, another tournament. This gives me a reason to take the GCN from my dad's basement, and practice for a while. Also, the Guilty Gear XX tournament should be quite interesting.
However, this could conflict with my Forensics schedule. I'll have to check.

Hey X, what happen to you for our weeklys? You should come this Sunday to my place for some hardcore smashing.
Dark will be there, its just mind games.
As for guilty gear, I think David has that in the bag

Yeah... Well.... They're not missing too much, I bought it, played the first free month, and didnt think it was worth paying more money to keep playing.
As far as the Guilty Gear XX tourney goes, i'm not going to try that out, but it would be pretty fun to take a look at, and i heard Soul Calibur 3 is lookin pretty cool, havent tried it though.

The Vote wasnt final yet. It goes on a 2 week base period depending on the count. I just announced it Sunday this week. who knows for the up and coming weeks.

The only people who quit smash are the ones who had no one to play with excep themselves in the first place. Most of lawrence, and a few smashers + friends are on our server, we rock.

I've been busy as hell the past few weeks, be it that midterms just flew by, and my Speech tournament. I may be up for it this weekend, perhaps, as my schedule seems pretty clear.
I have Guilty Gear XX on my PC. The last FFC tournament is the reason why I got it. That game looked so incredibly cool, so I got it, and have a pretty good Eddie and Chipp going. However, the arcade is different than a gamepad, so we'll see.
My schedule for speech meets is clear, so I'm able to attend this tournament. Should be very fun.

Me and Aaron just realized that this tourney is over the Thanksgiving weekend. So wouldnt that mean alot of people would like to be with thier familys. I know that I would. Is it possible to get this tourney move back or ahead an week or something
Yeah, I do agree, never put enough thought into it to really realize that it is the same weekend as thanksgiving, and our family usually does alot stuff then

I should be there regardless as well. However, a schedule change would probably be best. As much as those dates sound good over a vacation of some sort, the others do have a point that it's family time over that break.
Unless Smash is only on one day, which, in this case, Sunday would be best.
gah its still a month away...! hopefully we can get at least four setups this time unlike the 3 we had last time.... a billion years ago :(

Its upsetting I tell ya
maybe you get a mod to move this topic to the main tournaments room, or just make a new thread there. FFCs usually draw at least 40 people and i think this one could easily draw much more. plus I think a lot of smashers would be interested cause of the other games to play as well.
