And yeah, we need a bigger venue then the last one because hopefully the new people that came to this SEAT will get some others involved, plus people from other states and we might have more people then last time. Might be abit hard for everyone to fit in that small room unless we turn belimic and become annorexic (Then we can hire out a cardborad box to acomodate 50 sticks..people)

Shaz just came up with a pretty good idea...

He suggested that we do a crew battle in the form of 'top smashers' Vs Em and himself. There's no limit to how many top smashers (or Melbourne's Elite as Cao calls us) but I reckon it'd be a good idea to keep it around SEAT's top 7 placements from September. It can work as a normal crew battle, but the idea will be to take out Shaz and Em as best we can whilst making it fair for both crews.

I'm not sure what Shaz had in mind for the other 30 players who might want a crew battle? We'll see.

Crews sounds great.... we're in the proccess of organising a big QLD smashfest so soon we'll find who our best players are.

Shaz mentioned something about how in Japan they had something similar to this..so hopefully he knows what he's talking about...I think he can rig it to make everything work out. The crew mentioned above seems more than fine to me, but yea, we'll discuss others you had in mind.

Japanese style of crew was if you win against your opponent you get all your stock back against the next opponent. In this way Em and I would have the same stock as anyone else, but our disadvantage would be instead of having a crew of your 6 or whatever there would be only her and I. In other words each match would be the usual 4 stock, and not like the US system of suicide...I mean seriously Em and I would be in a bad situation if it were our 2x4 stock vs all of you with as many as 8x4 stock :O. Otherwise there could be the whole you have the same stock as us....and we have more stock per player than your team.....I don't think this will be as bad as the previous option....you guys discuss.

As for teams in SEAT2...if Em wants to team with me I will. Otherwise I'd like to team with Ryan if Team *******ry is brought back since I hate CATS being with a good player + kicking in cheap tactics to polish off the matches....CATS is cheap! Team Sexy Animal was like trying to put two wrongs together to make a right :O.

The Japanese Crew System is gay. It promotes one awesome singular player pwning the entire other crew, rather than encouraging team effort. At least with the American Crew System, the person who goes first (either Shaz or Em) is assured to eventually die - this can't happen with the Japanese system in which Em or Shaz will continue to beat every single player no matter what the margin; they get their stock back ready to rape the next person just like the last. My suggestion? US Crew system with stock penalties for crews less than 3 people (or in our case Em and Shaz).

E.g.

Em + Shaz = 10 Stock between them
JM/Jon/CATS/Freddo/Anf/CAO or similar = 20 Stock between them

Since Em and Shaz usually 2 stocks, we'll just cut their stock by half to make things more interesting, no?

Cao's proposal is perfect. That way the challenge is set for Em and Shaz, they know what they have to do, beat us with a 2:1 ratio or better. If they can do it, well then they deserve the win, but if they can't keep up a consistent performance while we do...we win.

You two can have 5 stocks each and your strategy will come into play when deciding who should fight first. Maybe we could leave our team lineup secret? Or maybe it doesnt even matter?

Not true - I'm factoring in all the dates people have given me, although it's unfortunate that no matter what date I set it, someone's bound to get owned by the dates. By the way, I don't like $20 myself, around $15 is more realistic and probably what I'd go for - but if i'm forced to make it $20 so be it. The Saturday 10th of December sounds good to me at the moment, or, the Saturday 3rd of December sounds good too (this will destroy EI2, probably for the better and get the focus on Melbourne more), I'll let you guys discuss this more.

I like the hotel idea. I'd be willing to pay extra if it meant some hotel involvement. I'd most probably need it, because last time I stayed at Souljah's house, a 20 minute train ride away. Coming to Melbourne again? With all the fun we had last time it would be crazy to say no, yeah it does remove any chance of ei2 occurring, but melbourne is better for it and its more convenient for us to go there than getting a rabble of people from other states to pay a larger sum to come here. 20 dollars is fine by me, since there is a lot of time untill dec 10. A larger room would be good, and of course a bigger place for the afterparty too. All good here. Hopefully I'll get a proper team member, instead of being hooked up with a random person,lol.

Too bad out chances of bagging a larger room are next to zero the way things are going. Why?

1. The introduction of prizemoney on a 50-30-20 split (blame whoever for that).
2. The fact it's been hosted on a Saturday (more expensive)
3. I lost a fair amount of money with SEAT1. It was way too affordable for you guys so I gets a kicked in the groin.

So there you have it. $20 is looking more likely, which is still cheaper then participating in @M. Seeing we have a good idea of how the space functions now, we can rearrange the existing space to be more efficient and confortable. The obvious solution is to push all the the tables against the walls of the room and leave the middle for passive space/circulation/seating.

And with the Smash afterparty (just for 1 night), I've looked into booking:
a) A couple if slick hotel rooms in the city
b) A detached holiday house near the city (imagine a house aof Smash, lol - affordable too)
c) Hostels with a good reputation

Anyone who wants in with the afterparty are gonna have to pay upto $30 to stay for the night - those who don't wanna sleep, are still welcome to visit the group at the place of stay, but will have to leave later. I plan to go out anyways, lol.

What's also likely to change is the inclusion of more random stages in the qualifying rounds. Looking at either adding in FoD or PS or both, but I'd like to hear about more from you guys before I press ahead.
