SHTL, Short Hop Triple Laser, without Fastfalling, is a technique Kirby can use when he has absorbs Fox's B-move. It's quite neat, isn't it? I'm trying to figure out if it's useful or not and how it can be used and stuff, so I'll edit this later.

I'm not sure if i'd be whats called a smart Kirby, but anyway...

Considering the laser has no stun, it can only be used as a spam if they are far away and are being easive. Effective on Final destitnation, but it cna't be used to halt them or edgegaurd, well, you can shoot them when they are off stage to get damage, but you plan to kill them anyway.

However, It gives you an option of retaliating if Fox is shooting you and you don't want to go in just yet. Sure, he has the shine, but for him to do that would be a waste.

Falco's ability gives you the SHDB, which, if used correctly, can be good, but i'm no Falco/Fox player, so i'm not sure if Kirby would use the in the same manner.

At least it gives you another option. Though i wouldn't recommend going in for the swallow unless its necessary, as of which it usually isn't. Or if you like the options and the hats...

I dunno if this will help anyone or not, but I have a movie of me messing around with Kirby's SHL. I recorded this yesterday because I just figured out how to record matches. Please note that I'm not exactly a great Kirby player. Also note that it's against my little brother's Falco... who is... well... somewhat of a n00b.

My crew has a pretty decent Falco in it, so next time we get together I'll test out it's usefulness against him and hopefully record a vid.
(oh btw... SHL is Falco and SHB is Fox, right?)

The triple laser is okay, I was trying it and it's not bad, the first hit is a bit higher than I would like though. EDIT: After further observation I see that the first hit can hit the opponent, but you gotta be fast. I see that it is either the first or the second laser (depends on speed) that will miss if the opponent is standing on the ground. The lasers go pretty high, so I guess this is okay versus tall characters or people who like the aerial.

SHL/SHB are the same thing Reik.

EDIT : Reik I saw that video, it's not bad but that Falco needs to learn to tech and DI better. The Kirby was pretty impressive though, not too bad.

I don't use it unless it's a big stage, so I can run away and laser when playing passive-aggresively, because a good Fox will just be in your face too quickly if you keep spamming it.

yea it's useless. From the time u r in the air u r wide open. Is it worth getting hit/combo'd to get like 5-12 damg on a person? Besides, fox's U-smash will kill kirby at like 70%. don't wanna risk that do u?

Falco and Fox can get a max of 2, Kirby can get 3... >_>; Kirby has a trigger finger. :S

It can be useful, even if just for that little bit of damage, especially on a level like FD or Corneria(Especially Corneria.)

Falcocan get a max of one, kirby gets 2 and Fox can get a max of 2, Kirby can get 3... >_>; Kirby has a trigger finger. :S

Also, Fox and Falco are both Fastfallers. Kirby is a floaty. The guns shoots at the same rate between IE Falco and Falco Kirby, but Kirby falls slower, and IIRC his SH is higher.

I love the Fox hat for one reason.

Playing Peach's Castle (x.x), Fox was standing on top of center tower, and I'm up on a red ledge. I shoot him, he shines, and the laser hits me. I don't notice though, so I keep unloading into him. Turns out that he can't STOP shining, so he is trapped as long as I keep shooting. I'm right about to, when the massive Bullet Bill moves into the picture, coming straight down on him. Freakin hilarious watching him sitting there, trapped, while the slowest missile on Earth crushes him, then explodes. He then proceeded to kick my 250% damaged pink puffy arse.

That was pretty gay considering that fox was me!btw we were on green platforms. I wouldnt recomend this too much because kirby is so slow you could shine them w/out any time wasted toward kickin his ***.
