Austin, TX Weekly Tournaments at Pat's Beanies

The first tournament is this Sunday, September 25 @ 1 pm, but they should continue every week if people show up.

5 dollar entry fee, 1st and 2nd place share 75% of the pot.

From the way previous tournaments were run here are the rules:

-1v1 best of 3

-Random Stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Fountain of Dreams, Kirby 64, Pokemon Stadium, Yoshi's Story

-3 stock

-5 minute time limit

-No Items

-No glitches tolerated

-Pool seeding (I think)

These rules are subject to change at any time of course, because I don't run the tournaments. It's a very casual tournament environment, but my friends and I think were pretty good so come and beat us please. See you there.

Awesome, a decent ruleset! I wish it was 4 stock tho, but I'm not going to quibble. This is a hell of lot better than what the ruleset was before, if you can even call the old thing a ruleset. You should add in slob pick tules tho for counter staging.

Best ruleset ever for local tourny....

The gamecrazy one I went to we had to BEG them to take items off for the simifinals. And They still made us do random stage with all lvls..The simifinals was Me (marth) vs RandomPerson(Marth) vs random Person( Roy) at Poke' floats.

The two people teamed up on me an I beat them in two minutes..

Then I went on to the finals and thank god we got Kirby's dream land. My friend beat my Marth with his shiek for 1st and I took second... I'm better then him now lol...anyways this is awsome And I'm sure to be there...

It was a different tourney at Dobie on Wednesday. It was a ffa tourney where Wes and DCX ganged up on me in the finals. >_>

These tournaments have been cancelled since only 3 or 4 people were showing up, if 10 people post on their forums saying they will come they might restart them =(.

wait, I thought they were every weekend? And I guess no one wants to go because the same people would win everytime lol.
