not alot of people play 64, however, i actually play better at it because it doesnt take as much intricate skills, so i prefer the 64 version. But most people have just moved onto Melee because of its complex fighting system

There aren't really any players in Lansing that I know of, but Dope, a guy in southeast MI, would probably be willing to money match you. I'm not sure if you would be able to travel or anything though.
lol i'm no where near lansing but your on *****! if i ever meet you cause i dont feel like traveling to lansing

You should probably just post something about this in the MI Discussion Topic cause Dope is probably too stupid to read this thread. If you ever played him I might money match you for a little... I was never really that good at 64 smash, but I still like playing it.

Relax dude, don't take people like that seriously. They're just angry at life because they suffer from self-esteem issues ^_^
Seriously though, you should try SSB64 online. It works pretty well, and you can get controller adapters on ebay that let you use N64 controllers. You can use any controller though, surprisingly d-pads aren't that bad for the game since tilts aren't used that much.
I've played many games online with little or no lag, so don't be afraid to try it. Then you won't have to drive everywhere to play! Just don't be surprised if you lose at some point, there are lots of good players online :)
ssb.emulation64.com used to be the hub for online ssb64. Check it out, I'm pretty sure it's still pretty active.
