• When? Saturday, December 17th, 2005 (Signups at 1:00 p.m.)

The tournament will start at 1:30 p.m. and go on to end whenever it ends, est. around 10 p.m.

I'll post a map soon.

• You are responsible to BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER.

Payout:

• Prize Money Percentages?

They will be 1st - 50%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%, 4th - 10%

Entry Fees:

Singles: $15
Teams: $10 per person ($20 per team)

Tournament Rules

• Double Elimination
• All matches are best of 3, with finals best of 5.
• 4 stock, 8 minute limit
• Items will be OFF

Stages:

• Stages limited to the 6 neutral stages for random, others open for counterpicks.
• Neutral stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Yoshi's Story, Fountain of Dreams, Kirby 64, Pokemon Stadium.
• Stages banned: Hyrule Temple, Fourside, Flatzone, Brinstar Depths, Icicle Mountain, Yoshi's Island 64, Big Blue and Termina Bay.
• Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go random.
• Winner may change characters, only if loser wants to change characters.

Special Team Rules:

• Team Attack ON
• Life stealing is allowed


Other Rules & Special Issues:

• Controller mods of ANY kind (short-hop mod, L-trigger mod, etc), except for cosmetic changes (paint job, different colored plastic), are banned. If you are caught using a banned controller you will be disqualified from the tournament.

• Turbo or programmed buttons of any kind are banned. You may use third party controllers or pads that have these features, but if you are suspected of using the banned features you will not be allowed to use that controller any longer.

• Glitches used to stop your opponent from controlling their character or indefinitely freezing them (Mewtwo's Soul Stunner, the Ice Climber freeze glitch), or any glitch or trick that freezes the match or makes it in any way unfinishable are banned. Using them will result in the immediate forfeit of the match.

• Tactics such as Peach's Wallbombing and Jiggly's Rising Pound are allowed as methods of recovery or to manuever around the stage. Using them (or any similar tactics) to excessively stall a match, such as droping below levels intentionally and stalling underneath, is banned. Judges will be on the tournament floor can be called in at any time to enforce this rule during a match.

We definitely need more TVs guys. As many as you can bring. Bring memory cards if you can, we don't really need them but they'll make things go faster in case of an emergency. Anything can happen, better safe than sorry. I'm going to start requesting people to bring TVs. Please people, bring your TVs, Cubes, and copies of smash. Also, I think that everyone should just carry extension cords in their car if they're driving here, or if you can please carry one with you. We might need a bunch.

As for December, I often travel at some point in time that month, so my attendance is not yet certain. The earlier the date is posted the better.

Ok, I'm thinking about trying to rent out Washington High School's gym, which is somewhat close to a BART station, I'll post more details (address, and directions-wise) later once I get everything settled. First, I just want to see how many people are going to come, or can make it.

Also, I was thinking of making the tournament $5, maybe $10 if you guys prefer. I don't know, it's up to what people want more. I don't mind either the wages. Also if you guys could make donations to get the place to rent that'd be nice too. Like someone suggested to me to take part of the tournament money and use it for the rent (or help with SOME of the rent) and the winner gets the rest? I don't know. What ideas do you guys have in mind?

Assuming we get the WHS gym, the easiest way for guys to go is BART->>Bus Route 211, and off at WHS. So as long as the location is WHS, then transportation shouldn't be a problem.

sounds good, but there is also sadpanda, who beats me in fox dittos usually, but i dont remember how he did in comparison to how i did@ SPIT, so i am still an ok fox. also there is nintendoking who plays fox but cant travel so you can forget him, but dont forget gokuzen he is also a good fox. also zel is pretty good.

haha, me having 20 stocks is foolish.

my rules are as followed:
-stock ratio is (KR3W?! 20 : 5 SS)
-stage is always FD
-no time limit
-u can arrange ur crew in any order


if u accept, u have to announce the characters ur crew is going to use (for example, i announce that im going to use (green) falcon, and can only use that char for the whole battle).

so does ur crew approve?
