Just cross-posting this here from the massive Canada thread for your info:

"Hey all, just to introduce myself first, I live in Mississauga, ON, and have been playing Smash Bros. regularly since the N64 game came out. My best character is Peach, but I'm also proficient with Ganondorf and DK.

On to the bigger news, is that after holding a pretty successful unadvertised tourney at Anime North (an annual convention in Toronto, www.animenorth.ca) that had over 40 participants, that I'm doing it again at Toronto's newest convention, Con no Baka (www.connobaka.com), as part of the Nintendo Tourney Triathlon. The con runs from Friday November 25th to Sunday the 27th.

Friday will be a Mario Power Tennis tourney, Saturday Smash Bros. Melee, and Sunday Mario Kart Double Dash. There WILL be prizes in the form of gift certificates to be spent at the dealer's room of the convention, though specific amounts are unconfirmed at the moment.

Anyhow, just thought I'd start spreading the word, and once I have concrete rules and times, I will definitely update. Would it be okay to start a new thread for this tourney, I wonder? ALso, if anyone knows of Mario Kart and/or Power Tennis players, or community boards for those games, please let me know.

Thanks everyone, and I hope a lot of people show up for the tourney!

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, the details should be in my profile."
