ThomaSexy is (not) Going to Host a Tournament! (So Sad)

I am sorry people. Due to my car repeatedly breaking down, I need to cancel this tournament. Once again it will be in the repair shop again and once again I am out a lot of money. Sorry about this. I am saving to buy a new car now. But hey, there's still lot's of other tournaments out there like MLG L.A. and the bi-weeklies, and that one cool tournament in San Bernardino. But anyway, yeah, sorry about the news.

there's a chance Central-Cali (that's right, we exist) might show up. to be honest, i think it's closer than nor cal, and i still haven't been to so cal for smash, wtf is up with me eh??

I need some input from people. What time do you think it should start? I was thinking around 9:00-10:00AM. Also, I was wondering what month people would think is best? October, November, or December? My car kinda broke down yesterday and it cost me a lot to have it fixed so I can't do it this month. And for those of you asking, Montclair is in southern California.

9 a.m.? What? If you start at 1 p.m. or later, that means that a lot of NorCal can drive up that morning. Starting at 9 a.m. means some of us, who can't get the prior day off, can't make it.

The only event I know coming up is another MLG in Los Angeles (right?), so I would either make it before then to give people practice, or after when there's nothing going on and everyone can focus on your event.

Jonnobigz: you live in San Jose area? If we're talking driving to Montclair, minimum 6 hours (probably 5 for me, but I live in Salinas).

Can you post the directions to the game store. Montclair is about 35 min away from my house so I'll be going, no questions asked. Just give me the adress, date, and so on and I'll be there. I say mid october would be fine because I'm hosting my own tournament on the first Saturday of October. How about you come to my tourney and I'll go to yours? Either way, I'm going though (as long as it's not the same day as my own)

MLG LA is in october too, keep that in mind when choosing the exact date. That being said, I will probably be going anyways, unless school gets in my way or something. I don't think you should make it in december because its the season of finals if i'm not mistaken.

My car broke down and I need to save money to buy a new car. However, for love of the game, I'm still going to go through with this tournament. I'm thinking October might be a good month but I think MLG L.A. is in that month and I don't want you to wait as long as November for this. Does anyone know the actual date of MLG? Do you think if I had this a week before that it would be a good warm-up? Or would it make things more difficult? Oh yeah, and give me your honest opinion: If I just bought pizza, would that be okay? I really want to buy better food but after what happened to my car, money is becoming and issue but I don't want to compromise anything so give me your honest opinion. Maybe I'll buy donuts too, since I'm famous for that.

Oh yeah, TVs won't be an issue but we definately need cubes with the game. I'm hoping to have at least 8 cubes going. Who can bring theirs?
