View Full Version : OREGONS Best of the Best Tournament! TANG 9.0: Date TBA
Me and Ratking(Kyle) where thinking of holding another TANG, but where looking to get ideas on dates that would work best for everyone. Summer is coming to an end so I was thinking sometime in Late September or maybe even mid October. We want to get EVERYONE from Oregon to come to this thing; Salem, Eugene, Portland, Sandy, Eastern Oregon, EVERYONE has to come to this. Because we want everyone to come that is why the date is to be announced. Everyone start posting dates that work for you then I will chose the top 4 that work for us and we will all vote on them.
Rules:
Stock: 4
Time Limit: 8 minutes
NO ITEMS
Stages: First pick is random on one of the 5 neutral stages (FD, FoD, Kirby64, Yoshis Story, Pokemon Stadium. After that there will be additional stages available for counter pick along with the normal 5 stages.
Counter Pick: Green Greens, Battlefield, Mute City, Rainbow Cruise, Jungle Japes, Corneria,
*Daves Stupid Rule is in effect, ask about this if you dont understand
*Advanced Slob picks are in effect as well, again ask about this if you dont get it.
Entrance Fee: 10 for singles 10 for a team(5 each) (this is subject to change depending on if everyone comes or not. If its not a huge turn out both will be lowered to 5.)
Housing can be provided for a night or so here in portland, but get in contact with Ratking if you need housing.
Everyone get posting, I want to get an ACCURATE head count of all the people that are will to go. If you are even CONSIDERING coming to this, post up, and if you are reading this and dont have a SWF Name, register and post. We want everyone to be here, this way we can have some fun play some smash, and determine who really is the best in Oregon.

As long as I can get a date about 10 days in advance I can get it off work. I'm not sure about my crew but some of them are school aged, so weekends are better.
it will be a weekend for sure, and well hopefully have the date atleast a month in advance, so that shouldnt be a problem. hope you guys will be able to make it

OK OK! I am gonna get Dawg to update the Title and the First post but A date has been chosen. TANG 9.0: OREGONS Best of the Best will be on October 22nd. If the 22nd doesn't work for most of the community, then the 15th and 29th are always options.

yeah, the 22nd works out great for me. I'll try to be there in force with the rest of team rocket, and make sure jesse isn't camping.

I'm not the best at Smash Bros., but I'd love to go to a tournament. I'll be waiting for an update on the details.

Any idea when the front page message is going to be updated with all the information? A post letting us know how things are progressing would be helpful, now that we're well into October and the 22nd is about 2 weeks away.

I am guessing it is at Kyle's house, if it is still happening. I tried to search for the old TANGs with his new address, but i was unsuccessful, so we'll have to wai for him to post to give these other people directions. It's somewhere in sellwood though.

Could you explain those rules? I would come to the tournament, but I live in Central Oregon.
