Tournament @ Gamecrazy Tempe Sat, Aug 27

Hey all,

Just wanted to let everyone know theres a tournament at the GameCrazy in tempe, AZ at the corner of University and Rural in the Cornerstone complex. It's the in the Hollywood Video store right next down the street from ASU's Manzanita Hall.

It's a Nintendo sponsored tourney, theres no entry fee, and the grand prize is a Nintendo hoodie. They also usually give out some tee shirts and stickers to other people that show up.

Starts at 1 pm saturday August 27th.

I'm thinking of getting some people together afterwards at my apartment to smash since my apartment is right down the street.

Ugh nooooo, I'm moving up to Tempe that weekend...and will be arriving and moving into my apartment in Mission Springs like that exact day... And I prolly wont be able to make this !! Why!!!! Anyway...Um I show if I show...if not...you say you live in tempe so that means there are smashers there so there is still hope >_<

I would definitely BYOC since some of the ones they have at the store are kinda messed up, but if you forget or can't you'll probably be ok. Last time I was there we played with 3 good ones and i took the crappy one since I was pwning everyone anyway. None of us brought any controllers.

PHOENIX ARIZONA SMASH BROS MELEE TOURNAMENT

RULES:
double elimanation. four(4) stock. seven(7) minutes. best out of three. semi-finals best out of 5. finals best out of 7.
no items.
BYOC(bring your own controller)
no ice climber freeze glitching.
stage selection will be on random or players may agree on level.
if somebody loses a round they may choose either to change their character OR the next stage played.
stage may be agreed upon OR random
money-matches allowed and encouraged

PLAY-ABLE LEVELS:
final destination
yoshi's story
dream land
fountian of dreams
and maybe battlefeild

LOCATION/directions: GAME CRAZY on POWER and RAY.
from 101 and the 60 go EAST. until POWER. go SOUTH. past WARNER. there will be a target shopping center on power and ray. go in the parking lot, find the game crazy and say goodbye to your money.

DATE:
9/24/05 (this month!)

TIME:
1:30 (entries/practice. no late entries, unless it evens the brackets )
2:00 (tournament begains)

ENTRY FEE:
$5.00

DISTRIBUTATION OF PRIZES:
1st ...place 45%
2nd ..place 25%
3rd ...place 10%
4th ...place gets a soda of MY choice


DETAILS:
will be very helpfull if extra gamecubes, copies of smash bros, and tv's are brought here.
smash fest after tournamnet will be held at my house. free room at my house for people who need to spend the night (looking at you tucson)

POSSIBLE EXTRAS:
if singles tournament ends by 6:00 there is MORE SMASHING time...and a VOTE will be taken on what to continue with..

TEAM TOURNAMENT:
same rules as singles(stock, availible levels, prizes ECT.)
except 8 minute time limit.
friendly fire ON.
entry fee $3.00

LOW TIER TOURNAMENT:
same rules as singles.
but semi-finals will be best out of 3 and finals will be best out of 3 as well.
entry fee $1.00 (one dollar)

is a neck-to-neck battle to the death between 2 .....lv 5 computers!
