new member and ganon user just wanted to say that its great to be here among the best smashers =) i could use tips on ganon using if you all have any

Read Shin's Guide to Ganondorf (teh bible). After that get the hub and download Tipman's Triforce of power vid so you can see what Ganon can do. After that play other guys at your level while aspiring to become better. Keep downloading vids from the hub. Head over to the thread called Ganon vs.; it contains alot of Ganon tips. Finally share those vids with your buddies and play some more. The fruit isn't a bad idea though.

This of course is a getgood quick scheme since imitating what top players do in high level play ought to make you play good faster but not necessarily great. If at any time you become confused check the stickies at Melee Discussion.

I agree with everything that Maximuspita said. Watch the videos, play against your friends, learn some tips from other members, and the fruit thing too. :chuckle:

Read the guide, watch Triforce of Power maybe. Definitely obtain HUB access if you already don't.

Spam the fair...

No, I'm serious. Some characters just don't have an answer to it, if you know what you're doing. (I was at a tourney. I played a fox, and spammed fair. Perhaps he just wasn't good, but the fair spamming was a tactic that got me about 50% damage each life on him.)

Also, the F-Smash seems to be decent... I seemed to be able to land it quite often. T_T.

F-smash sucks.

Mikamuchi, you'll learn that aerials make up about 75% of Ganon's game. Hardly any of his smashes are worth using.

Just watch Triforce of Power, figure out how he does the stuff he is doing, and that should help a lot.

Meh, I can land the F-Smash. I get kills out of it. Good enough for me. Out of maybe every 10 times I use it, I'll get punished once. Again, a good enough ratio for me.

Of course, it's like a once a game thing... Too much, and its predicted. I'm not saying to spam the F-Smash, I'm just saying that once a game or so, you're going to be able to land a hit with it.

His smashes are extremely situational, upsmash is really good, but lacks horzontal range (goodt thing, otherwsie it'd be broke)
