A couple of minor Pika/Pichu strategies.

1- When running as either of these two wonders of smashing, if you jump in one direction, you can use the Thunder attack (DOWN+B) to fire without actually stopping the Chus. In other words, they'll hit the floor, even though it causes less damage.

2- NEVER use the Headbutt (HOLD LEFT+B till max charge) near the edge the Pokemon is facing. It means certain doom.

3- I didn't know if you knew this, but the UP+B button actually causes minor damage. Handy for certain situations.

4- Finally, be sure to use Pikachu's and Pichu's wavedashing and dodging moves-they are among the best ones in the game, at least in my opinion.


NOTE: The above info applies to BOTH Pikachu and Pichu. A small warning on Pichu though: Beware, his electric attacks cause small damage to itself.

Actually only Pika's UpB does minor damage to the opponent. Pichu's only does damage to himself.

if you're a pika user check out pictishfreak's pikachu guide. He already covered the stuff you said and then some.unfortunately what you said is pretty common knowledge on this board, although i feel that pikas wd and dodge are not as good as you claim.
