It's almost time boys and girls! Yes sir, the End of Summer Bash '05 is just around the corner, and I for one am very excited to hang out with every one again. It's amazing to me how fast this year has gone! Last year at the end of EoSB '04 I said I wold see everyone next year even if it meant coming back from Texas just to host it! Luckily, life worked out and I am still here and can host this again for everyone. This is the third year now that I wil host this event and I hope it continues the trend set last year and it continues to get bigger and better. For those of you that weren't around last year or just couldn't make it let me tell you, it was HUGE!! Lots of people, food, and fun. Not to mention just the right amount of crazy asian lady!! I know that in the past year some of our own have moved on from Halo for whatever reason but I'm hoping we can even get a few of the old timers back even if just for this one event. So I'm recruiting everyone right now to not only make it, but also to get friends to come and help me convince some of "the Lost" to make an apperance. I want this Bash to be the biggest and best so far and to set standards for ones to come! Anyway enough of my preaching-here are the details:

What: End of Summer Bash '05!! An all day event that's more than just a Halo lan. Granted alot of Halo will be played but it's more than just that. In addition to Halo and Halo 2 lans we will have 4 gamecubes going for all you Smashers out there, not to mention Monkey ball, Mario Kart, and the one I'm looking foward to seeing people play the most, Donkey Konga 1 and 2 complete with four sets of Bongos!! If it's multiplayer, we'll try to have it there! All that plus a swimming pool if people want to swim, board games including cranium and catch phrase which were both big hits after last years party, and anything else people want to bring.

When: Saturday, August 27th. I understand that not everyone might not be able to make it on this day but I tried to take into account a couple of factors that I hope will work for most people. For one, I made sure not to schedule it this year on the day of the Rocky Mtn Showdown. Two, I wanted to give people at least a months notice so they can request off of work and such. Last I figure this will be around the time that people start going back to school so they need one last big fun event. We will start at 10a.m and go to 10p.m

Where: 630 S Peck Dr at the Clover Basin Village apartments in Longmont. It will take place again at the clubhouse which is part of the office building. However we learned from our mistake last year of underestimating how many people would show and not having enough room. If we have overflow RaShelle and I will have our apartment set up which is close to the office. We have enough room for two seperate lans so if we have too many people (a happy problem to have!!) we can send people over to the apartment instead of converting the weight room! For directions either type the address into mapquest or pm me and give you directions even though Jinx will tell you I suck at giving them!

Cost: $10 a person. We will be providing food again mostly in the form of subway party subs and various goodies. That seemed to go over really well and we almost had enough. (Last year we got 2 6-footers, this year we will grab 3) So alot of the cost goes to that. Other than running out of the sub we had drinks and snacks all the way to the end so you will get your fill. Here is some good news on the cost however. To make sure we get enough equipment (tv's and xboxs) I am giving a bonus. $2.50 off the cover if you bring either a tv or a box, up to $5 off! In other words, if you bring a tv, you pay $7.50. If you bring an xbox, you pay $7.50. If you bring a tv AND an xbox, you get a full day of fun with tons of cool people and all you can eat for only $5!! Unfortunatley I need to make at least $5 off of everyone that comes to cover cost so I can't go cheaper than $5. If you have a tv and two boxes then please, feel free to bring them but the cost is still $5. This should make sure we have enough for everyone.

I think that pretty much covers everything. For anyone interested, there will be no touney of any kind at this Bash. I'm not against tourneys, I just felt that last year was going really smooth and friendly until we ran that tourney and it kinda killed it for some people until it was over and we all started lanning again. If there is enough intrest in a tourney in the future then please, give us some feedback!! Frc7.com is for you to have a chance to live your Halo experience to the fullest and we the mods are here to help we just need to hear from you! So sound off and we'll try our best to make it happen. I got to tell you if you have not been to a lan before or have just lanned with a few friends, these Frc7 events are great! Xbox Live is fine and all, but when you get the chance to hang out in person with the people you are playing with it is an entirely different experience. If I listed here all the great people I've met over the last 4 years and how many fun times and classic moments we've all had together, you would be reading this until the bash! So get pyched, get excited, invite your friends, and get ready to be a part of Frc7 history!! Call me or pm me if you have any questions or suggestions of things you want to see at the bash. Have a great rest of your summer and as always......

See you at the Bash!!!!

I dont know why this was in the rubbish bin, because it looks like a fair enough event. Moved it to regional: southwest since it's a smashfest and not a tourney.
