Who do you think would win in a one on one? I myself am a Bowser user, but I'd like to know your opinions on this match-up. Don't forget to tell why ;)

Well, this all depends who is playing, how good they are, which characters they prefer, etc. But if it is two average smashers it will definitely be Ganondorf who wins.

Ganon for sure he's able to cause mass distraction with any character however i'm not sure who is favored more Ganon or Bowser.

:017: Unfortunately...

Ganondorf just tops Bowser on all counts. He's stronger, faster, has more range, and takes hits better, I think. Not to mention that his moveset trumps Bowser's.

Bowser does catch him in the Fire Breath every now and then, though. Not to mention the very easy job Bowser has of edgegaurding Ganondorf. Does Ganondorf's jab clank with the Fortress? I think it does, which takes away one of Bowser's best attacks in terms of out of shield options.

That's true, though Bowser is a tank, Ganon can really hurt him. For starters, Bowser's so big, and slow to counter, that Ganon can easily put Bowser into high percent and knock him out (in my experiences, I could KO bowser in little time)

Ok ok here is how it goes i just watched a computer match..
I ish to lazy to get meh lazy Butt and call meh friends..
Soo i watched a computer match and Ganondorf won
Soo that solves that...
Now if it was in real life Bowser would supposedly win
He could just burn ganondorf on fire x3
Here is how it would go:
Bowser: Hey I bet i could beat you Bi***
Ganondorf: Oh Yeah You Wanna Bet?
Bowser: H*** Yeah!!
After A while of bowser and ganon attacking each other you see ganon in Little pieces of ash
x3 soo there is meh story
The END!

Ganon kills Bowser under 100% on most levels... His edgeguarding is too good.

If Bowser plays smart, he won't get 3 stocked...

Just earlier I beat this dude's Ganondorf with my Bowser. With no prior experience fighting Ganon with him. No one had better say anything dumb like "the Ganondorf sucks then", because it apparently doesn't matter, since almost all of you said Ganondorf wins no matter what right (but he didn't suck)? LOL

The Ganondorf was horrible.

Luke

Next time, tell him to play you defensively... aka, do fading away Fairs... see if you can beat him then.

I'd beat Bowser more easily with Ganondorf than Ganondorf with Bowser (ur still with me?), but it all depends on skill and stage, advantages and items, etc. etc. etc...

but... if there were no items, equal players (either n00b vs n00b or Pro vs Pro), normal stages, no advantages, I guess Ganondorf would beat Bowser with one hand while whiping his b*tt with his other

offtopic: first post :D

I'll tell him to do this next time, but I would still be able to whoop him. Because I know the glaring flaw in his play style. I'll look for stronger Ganondorf players though, and try my hand.

Why is someone talking about computers?
Nobody cares. I can't be the first one to say this.

Hih, enough people said it already... If Ganon loses, that means the Bowser player is way, way better.

RanmaAppleTree, money match my Ganon at Otakon, and I won't suck. Maybe I won't even use any move besides grab and back aerial... >.>

I've retired from money matches, after I do my one with Neo that's it. >_> But I'll try to seek you out at Otakon, I think I'm only gonna be there Saturday though. Best of five?

Take no notice of my name, but technically, in terms of speed power attacks, and physics, Ganondorf is better. So if the players are of an even skill level, the Ganondorf should win. I dont ever see a bowser beating a ganondorf personally. The odds are against him, but I suppose Bowser could win.

Guys! There is a simple and accurate solution to this!!

Turn on two level 9 CPUs, one as Bowser, one as Ganondorf, grab some popcorn then watch them beat the hell out of each other and see which one wins!!!!111

one one one

Or you can realize computers are HIGHLY retarded and not do that. FOR EXAMPLE: I can beat three level nines on a team against me for 3-7 stock or 2-10 minutes. NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER.

That's how you KNOW level nines are retards X_x

Like everybody said, depends on the player, I'm nnnot a pro, but i would think that even if the bowser player were even a little better Ganondorf would own if he knew how to use attack XD

true true true. All characters all stand an equal chance against each other. (i think. . ) As long as they knew how to use the character correctly they would b an equal match or watever. . .

In all fighting games, there will always be characters that are better than others. Look at some of the crazy stuff that has been discovered and shared among thousands of smash brothers players over the last 4 years such as waveshining, bomb recovering, chainthrowing, etc. Do you think the developers would have been able to fully test all these things? Hell no. But they still came pretty close with balance, and while there are still tiers, it is not impossible for bottom/low tier characters to defeat high/top tier characters, just takes more skill and patience ;)

I hope in the next Smash, which is online, the developers release balance patches to reduce the amount of tiers. Look how balanced StarCraft became after a few balance patches. Bungie also released a balance patch for Halo 2 to make things more interesting. Releasing balance patches online is an excellent idea.

Yes, it would be nice to see Bowser with projectiles in the next game. Hopefully they make him faster so he doesn't have such a hard time against quick characters.

MagnuM

^ I agree, Bowser should have a projectile, such as hammers or fireballs or something.

As for Ganon vs. Bowser, if the Ganon can space well, and just keeps jumping backwards doing the Forward A Aerial Punch, Bowser is outranged in every way. The only thing you can do in that situation is either try to strike first, in which case Bowser and Ganon usually trade hits (worse for Bowser), or you can just and use Fire Breath, but that can leave you open to a punch in the face. This is a hard matchup for Bowser, however, if you manage to get the Ganon off the edge, hit one or two sweetspotted bairs and you have your KO. It's pretty hard to miss Ganon's recovery with all those back spikes.

P.S. if you shffl the bair near the edge, some of the spikes seem to strike below the stage, similar to the horns on the Forward Smash if you use that as an edgeguard too. So all of the spikes seem to cover all the recovery options, either high or low. Of course your timing and spacing will have to be top notch, but it's relatively easy to get a bair KO. I alsolutely love the bair edge guarding technique all round... especially for characters such as CF or Ganon with their easy to hit recovery moves.

Personally i like Ganon because he is a little faster and his B Up move is awsome

Bowser: Oh hullo Gannon, how's things?
Gannon: Oh, not bad. Hey, ever wonder which one of us would win in a fight?
Bowser: Me clearly, I've got all these minions, all these inventions, like the Koopa Klown Car and such.
Gannon: Yeah? Welll I have the triforce of power, which makes me strong, I can summon monstrers and such.....
Bowser: Oh wait a minute, I forgot one thing
Gannon: What?
Bowser: Well you see, while it's not visable, we ARE controlled by someone. And that someone changes quite frequently, so really there's no DEFINITE answer to this question.
Gannon: Good point. And you're right. This topic of conversation is very stupid.
Bowser: Could be better if we were talking about how to help one of us to beat the other though.
