2v2 on the 14th.

Registration at 2, tournament at 3 on both days.

Entry Fee: $10 for each tournament (meaning $20 per team).

Yeah.... they haven't announced the time or entry fee, but pretty much every single of their tournaments has gone like this:

2pm: Registration
3pm: Tournament starts

$10 entry fee

Well, the MOAST topic got deleted I noticed so I'm doing this ruleset from memory....

4 Stock, 8 minute time limit
Best of 3 sets
Finals are best of 5

First stage is random, then advanced slob picks (explained below)
Random Stages: Yoshi Story, Final Destination, Battlefield, Fountain of Dreams (note, FoD is OFF for teams due to too much lag), Dreamland 64, Pokemon Stadium.
Banned Stages: Hyrule Temple, Yoshi 64, Flatzone, Big Blue, Icicle Mountain, Venom, Brinstar Depths, Great Bay, Fourside.
All other stages are available for counterpick.

Advanced Slob Picks: Loser announces what stage he/she will select, winner chooses his character, then loser chooses his character and the match begins.

Team attack is ON for teams, otherwise the rules remain the same (minus the previously mentioned Fountain of Dreams exception

are there rules about the character selection. do both competitors just choose there characters before the fight or are there preselection options?

Normally you just pick your characters, but if you get caught in a counter loop (I pick Marth, so you pick Sheik, so I pick Falco, so you pick Jiggly, so I pick Marth, so you pick Sheik...) then we can do a double blind pick where you and your opponent tell someone your character choice and then you have to stick with that character. Only seen that have to happen like.... twice though.
