This is a video of my Doc playing against my friend Jermaine's Fox. My Doc is only about 2 and a half months old and I've only played against the lvl 8 and lvl 1 cpu's, a friend of mine who's a pretty good Fox (I've only played him twice though, don't see him a lot), and Jermaine. I only recently started playing smash seriously since the friend with the good Fox I mentioned before pwned the crap out of me a week before summer started.

Also, I know this sounds like some crappy excuse, but for some reason I just wasn't....."feeling" the control that day. A couple of times I thought of doing something (Like an L canceled short hop uair) but then my fingers wouldn't pull it off. I know everyone has days like that and with my luck, that day is the day I record myself.

Well, this is the reply to this video now, I did the Ness vs Fox one before and I didn't know your started a little while ago. Once again, sorry for the opinions, but I hope they help you and please do not take it the wrong way.

Fox - not very good once again. Seems his strategy is run, maybe laser, then try to grab to throw you off the stage and shine kill you. Pretty easy to read, although Fox can do SO much more. Should learn to shine chain/combo and grab and throw down + shine will not work against humans. Up throw and AUA is a great combo and should be used and abused. No attacks seem to chain, it is more like maybe hit and run. Do not get hit by those pills (at like 3:30, you can easily jump over the pills and attack or reflect them back).

Doc - not too bad actually, there are rusty days for everyone, but you have to practice to make sure that does not happen. The use of the cape really punished the Fox, so that was nice to see. The ground game was weak though. Good ways against Fox is using grabs and either throw up or down into a smash. The pills can be used into attacks as well, just keep going to the opponent, throw pills, then attack, it's very nice. Doc has a strong ground game, so use the downsmash well there. Aerial Back A helps a lot when edgeguarding as well (check out Bobmoney's video - Overdose).

Yeah I noticed that about my Doc. When I go toe to toe with someone, I tend to lose my advantage more times than I like to remember. My "real" Doc is (slightly) better than the doc in that video, but what I really want to work on is mind games. I can't really work on that though since the only human player I play is my friend's Fox and really, his fox suxxorz.

in my opinion, you need to Sh-Uair and uptilt more...
doc hs a pretty good juggling ability...
abuse it, master it, use it...

As long as fox is using Up+B to get back on the ledge, use the cape more than edgehogging. Also from the edge, it doesn't seem like the "drop down and up+B" works very well. I would try something else...maybe hop up and U-air, or even F-air sometimes. It would even be better to learn to WD on the stage from the ledge, but it takes a lot of practice. I thought your doc is pretty good, and has a lot of potential. Keep practicing and get really good with shffl's and your timing.

Don't bother with using UP-B on the ledge. It's horrible.

Doc's best way to get up from the ledge is the Edge-WD, but it's not essential. Using a edge-jump attack or even just tapping up to get up should be good enough, provided you aren't predictable.

Here are some vids of me playing my friends infamous (By infamous I mean stupid) Fox.

I think I did a lot better this day but when the camera ran out of tape I did a lot of combos that I was pissed wasn't caught on tape. Please be serious when rating and don't just say "I'd pwn that".

Also you can post your vids here too for judgement. I assumed people knew that.

Doc had some good moves, but it seems to me that you take your time when attacking, you'll down smash and wait around a bit before you follow up. Also on your edge guarding game, you would be surprised how many bair you can do off the stage and still get back on. Don't just wait for them to get back on the stage, go after them, especially with fox his up b has a tremendous start up time, plenty of time to send him on his fast falling death. I would suggest that you practice against a level 1 fox on FD and just practice on bair him off the stage. Also when sent flying off the stage try immediately caping, then down and b, while continuously pressing b and DIing to the stage then jump and up b. It really works wonders.
