You can link it in a dash by crouch-cancelling the dash. Because of Luigi's low traction he slides, making an interesting slide tackle. You can combo it into a Up-Smash pretty easily knocking them into the air, putting them at your mercy..
If you are more Wavedash happy, I dunno. There are better things in a Wavedash then his down tilt by far.

The only use I've ever truly gotten out of the dtilt is comic relief....
Pause the game while he's doing it and and observe the expression on his face along with the obvious limp wrist -- its priceless! :)

I just thought it was weak because CC'ing into upB's kind of.. nasty..
You don't even need to be right next to your opponent- you can hit their arm and get a full screecher. You can even do this with Jig's rest.

Dtilt is Mantis kick, utilt is mantis punch.
martial arts mayhem...
yea, dtilt to up B is nice, they need to not DI it though.
It's more useful when someone is hanging on the ledge, or recovering.
Dtilt to shop/forward smash.

Just face it, down tilt sucks and is useless.

Its kinda good to finish a dash attack with a dtilt since the only good aspect of luigi's dash is you can go into another move somewhat quickly, not quickenough for a sheik or fox to hit you.
