Norcal smash players? Possible tourney/gathering

Hey, what's up guys. Do you have your own thread anymore? because I would just put this topic in that instead. Anyway, I'm thinking about including smash in the northbay(& Sac) fighting game meetings that I currently hold every other thursday night. Additionally, I want to include smash in the 8/6 tourney that's being planned.

I was afraid to ask you guys before becuase I thought smash turnout might be too big (this is all at my house). I'm biting the bullet though because it would be great for everyone having all the major fighting games in one place.

So, who would be interested in these? What's a rough estimate of player turnout? Let me know when you answer if you're referring to the tourney or the northbay console meetings.

I live in Novato now, it would be nice to only have to drive to Vallejo for smash, after having to drive at least an hour to play anyone for the last year. Plus there's a Popeye's in Vallejo....mmmm....

Hmmm, iunno if I'd be willing to drive for hours for a smashfest. I really wanna go tho, it's just, I actually can't drive, so getting someone to drive me there is kinda a problem.

What and where is this tournament on Aug. 6? I know there's a Madden tournament at Paradise Island in Sac on the 6th, but the weekend prior is the big melee/ddr/t5 tourney.

Meetings are every other Thursday from 7pm until whenever we get tired. We play mostly tekken 5 now, but many other games are played as well (Super Turbo has a large group). Many Vallejo smash players show up to meetings as well (though they play tekken 5 now). I've PMed those that voiced interest in coming. If anyone else wants to come, ask me to PM you the details. I think I'll hold off on the tourney for now until I get a better sense of the Norcal smash scene atm.

Q: Can I attend meetings if I'm not 21?
A: Yes. Only those that want to drink alcohol during meetings must be 21. They'll be plenty of other beverages available.

I've been talking to the Vallejo players, and they all want to see how good the Norcal smash scene has gotten since a year ago (especially Concord). Btw, today will be the last meeting in a while, because of Evo. Later!!

If we have enough the smash tournament will probably start around 5:30. You can come any time before that for casual play. make sure you bring your own controllers and ****. Peace.

Pinole is like 20-30 minutes away depending on traffic.
