I know exactly what you mean.

Instead of enfeebling Mewtwo beyond recognition, they should of given him powerful, high-priority slow 'n akward attacks just so the pwoer's balanced, but instead, they gave him weak, low-priority, slow 'n akward attacks..
This isn't so bad, though. If Hal made one true mistake with Melee, it's the lack of the original's humor. They also ruined several taunts, which didn't help the humor issue..

When you read Mewtwo's trophy, it says that he is a dominant force when mastered. I think Hal wanted to create a character who was difficult to use, yet powerful. However, they blew that bigtime. Mewtwo just plain sucks.

I meant to end his combos with, I mean it's pretty obvious that his up throw is a kill move :-p. However, it is a very predictable kill move, and the throw takes so long to start up that even someone with gimpy reflexes could DI it, which blows. If Mewtwo had a good KO move that wasn't a throw, to go with his awesome up throw and combos (and possibly end a combo with this kill move) then he would be a much better character (which was my point in my above post).

Mewtwo has many great edge-guarding abilities, so maybe you should just focus on knocking them off the edge, then your edge-guard game will substitute a good kill move.

Mewtwo has edge-guarding attacks and anti-edge-guard abilities, so he's perfect for the edge. Try to force the battle to the edge. Mewtwo's not dominating anyone in the middle of the levels, anyways.

It makes me angry about how mewtwo is denied his power In anything but pokemon.
Remember the pokemon cards and then on top of that his weakness in smash. Being one of the hardest charectars to earn you wouldve of thought they would of made him pack a little puch. Instead of jiggly and picka some how being stronger than him.

Let's not forget his fair and downward smash both are good moves and his fair is great for koing. Also he has one of the best if not the best roll in the game.

I don't think that mewtwo is THAT bad of a character. I've beaten plenty of people and event matches with him.

I just wish that he was faster. If they're going to make him as slow as Bowser they can at least make him heavier.

while Mewtwo's special powers generally suck, I think he has some potential: HE"S SOOOO smooth in the air, and does damage...when the opponent is a snail...with no shell...a slug :P

He could be smooth in the air, but if hes hit anywhere in the air he goes flying do to his very light weight, before starting on smashboards i thought mewtwo was the best but then after all the crap i went thru, i find out hes one of the worst of the tier list. I personally like mewtwo the least of all characters.
