eh, just prove him wrong then. Stick to pika and do as well at tournaments as you can. I plan to, and though I'll very likely never become a solid pika player, i've got nothing better to do.

But I dunno. I think ak's pikachu is pretty solid. At least, from the vids that I have of his pika. Still could be improved, of course, but I find few points in his play where I think "he shoulda done this" or "he screwed up that combo" or "why didn't he ____?" *shrug*

Edit: Oh, and vidjo, I'm still waiting on that more in-depth explanation that you promised on the skill involved in playing pika, heh.

plus, i have internet at my house again, so i will give you pika tips.

I think the point vidjo is trying to make is that there are no solid Pika players. He may be insinuating that there are some liquid-like Pika players or even some gaseous Pika players.

Meh. I might be quite sucky, but I'm the most dedicated Pika I know about. I don't (can't) use other characters whatsoever, so yeah. Most other Pika players (better than me in many cases too) seem to use Pika AND others.

well it appeard to me that vidjo and pictish were the only good pikas but then i beat vidjo's pika and im not that good so alls that left is pictish otherwise i agree

I use only Pikachu... that strikes a nerve with me, as well. It's probably not a good idea to put something like that in the Pika forum... chances are, there's a lot more people here that like Pikachu then don't.

I registered 3 years ago but then forgot about this site until Nintendo Power mentioned it and with the Revolution less than a year from now, I might as well freshen-up by acturally starting to post. :ohwell:

Anyways, I think that it's crazy how people look down at Pikachu; thinking its worthless, low-tier, etc. I've been good with Pikachu since the very release of the original Super Smash Bros. I don't have a camera of any kind and I have dial-up internet so I can't send you guys an examples of what I can do with Pikachu through DC++. I also live in Salt Lake City, Utah, which has no big tournaments since who knows when...but anyone that I meet at school that thinks that they are all that, was challenged by me and was tossed around by my Pikachu as if they were a rag doll. The one's that acturally stood a decent chance was acturally shocked on how good I was with Pikachu.

I'm trying to convice my parents to let me go to the MLG Las Vegas tournament so I can show that a Pikachu can make it high up, if not winning, the tournament, but my parents anti-travelling people so it was imposible for them to say, "Yes!"

well the way i figure it, I'm not nearly addicted/obseesed enough with smash to WIN tournaments and get this $$ you speak of. So... I just stick with Pika and try to win matches with a character I like and have some fun. Maybe gather some attention for myself as a side effect, thats a better payoff than being a generic fox shinespiker.

ACtually Pika is a badass character....Lol I take out cc with Pika ONly one i havnt beat is Caveman.. PIka's fast has the aerials...and some strong smash attack's onyl thing i can think of that is wrong with her/him is the range issue and partially the recovery but every character has some bad things.

And i agree Buho...that was a very emotional speach Fox is Gay......Stick with the char that you like....Im only playing Link now. :)

yeah, pikachu cant beat falcos... it makes me mad. though i was 1 smash away from beating rob$... then he spiked me at 60% and won... pika cant win :cry:
