IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE!!! IF YOU HAVE SAID THAT YOU COULD MAKE IT ON THE 20th or 13th AND HAVE BEEN PUT ON THE LIST BELOW, POST UP AGAIN TO LET ME KNOW YOU CAN STILL COME!!!

ARE YOU READY FOR THE NEWLY BI-ANNUAL CHAMPAIGN SUMMER SMASHFEST?!?!?!?

I'm actually making a thread this time for this instead of posting in 5 different threads with info. I know you guys are as excited for this as I am.

I will be editing this first post with the most current information.

August 27, 2005 is the tentative date right now at tentatively 2 pm-ish. It will be held at my house unless we need to find a bigger and better place for it. Housing is, as always, available...and flippy cups will, as always, be played. FOOD WILL BE ON THE HOUSE!!! We will be doing a liquor run, but people will have to put in for it - drinks are most definitely not on the house.

NEW!!! Speaking of money - it will be a $5 entry fee for singles and a $10 entry fee for teams, just to add some incentive for the out of towners to come back to the next one.

People, start letting me know who can and will be there...and if another date will be better for you.

kirkq - play flippy cups with water, that's what I did at the last smashfest when I was planning to head back home the same night. The game is too much fun even if you're not drinking.

Danielle - Team Grand Slam is a good one. We likeses it.

Oh yeah - I'm buying pizza and soda for everyone that comes (but people will have to put in for the alcohol). I'll put that in the first post.

Alright Marcus Good Deal... hope ya aren't too disapointed when we lose... lol unless you do it all... Tj agreed to help me out a bit before we do this... Glad to hear it - I hope to see the Alton people here. LIke I said, housing is most definitely available.

Danielle - it's not always about winning or losing. Ask AC - we didn't win all of our games as Team Home Run, but **** if it wasnt the most fun I had in a long time. Besides, we have nothing to worry about. Team Home Run was decent...but Team Grand Slam, by definition, has to be 4 times better!!

Andy - I just had the best idea. I really think we shouldn't make this a tourney...you know, it's good to have a smashfest every now and then. I am such a genius.

i HIGHLY doubt i that i will make it for the actual tourney part, but i know i can for the afterwords fun... heck it's us team slit ppl that started that trend :). anyway, i got a job at a bank now so i don't get off work till noon... i could probably make it by 1 or 1:30 though... maybe i can get singles or teams, but not both. guess we'll see. Las Problemas - I am supposed to move into my dorm room on the 20th. So i am hoping that the date can be shifted either forward or backward so i can come, b/c we definitely need all of Team Top Tier for flippy cups again!!!

However, I may be able to move in on a monday, since delivered luggage won't be delivered until monday. But iunno. will update at a later time.
