I'm kninda new to Jiggly and just Smashboards in general. I can rest combo and WoP pretty well, but was just wondering, what are some good stages to use with Jiggly for advantage against others, as well as against Jiggly himself?

Against would probably be any large level, because a projectile user can spam and run away because of Jiggs speed. I don't use jiggs, personally, so don't believe me. >_>

smaller stages with small boundaries and low ceilings (Yoshi's Story, Yoshi's Island, etc.) since Jiggs loses alot of her mobility and HER running away abilities at times and her recovery is kinda screwed here too, not to mention chars with good vert KOing on lower stages. Jiggs has a very low crouch so projectiles aren't much of a problem if at all.

The larger stages like corneria, FD and dreamland64 are good stages for jiggs, especially DL64 cos that has massive boundaries. stages where you can jump off and bair or fair someone where they are trying to recover is good.

stages against jiggs would be yoshis island and onett cos yoshis island has puny boundaries and she can be killed off the top or sides easily. on onett you lose the ability to edgeguard like crazy.

I don't like Corneria for Jiggly at all, the ceiling is way too low, and the side, especially by the favorite camping area under the fin, is too close for comfort. Something like Samus bair will kill Jiggly at like 50% at the edge there.

In general I like Mute City, DL64, Rainbow Cruise, and DK64. I'd say Mute is the best, as you can take advantage of the lack of grabbable edges since Puff rarely needs them.

If you fight Peach, I'd actually suggest Poke Floats, or a small stage. Do not take her to Mute, DK64, or DL64, she lives waaaaay too long there. Pretty much everyone else I'd take to Mute (if it's available), though I also like Rainbow Cruise vs Samus. If Mute isn't available, I wouldn't take CF to a big stage like DL64 because he's too dangerous with a lot of running room. I'd pick FoD, Battlefield, or Rainbow Cruise.

Like Cubed64 said, I think Onett and Yoshi's Story (except vs Peach) are Jiggly's worst stages. Green Greens is pretty bad too, and IMO so is Corneria.

My bro is an excellent Jigg player, and likes to play in the bottom area, of Hyrule arena, because she cant die easily down there, and its harder to get knocked ooff the stage than normal, since she is so light.

If you want proof go download my second fight with Oro. :p I'm pretty sure I was outdamaging him but I ate two of those. Corneria is terrible for Jiggly, way too low of a ceiling and few edgeguarding opportunities.

Depending on the matchup it does change. Against a Marth you want something big but you also want to generate edgeguarding opportunities and limit his wavedashing. Therefore you want a big level with a small platform. DK64 is the best for this, and Mute City obviously gives lots of edgeguarding opportunities. On Dreamland the platform is too big, it gives the Marth player too many opportunities to wavedash away and still not be near an edge.

Now with Peach you actually have a lot of the same advantages and disadvantages. I prefer a smaller level against Peach because it doesn't give her room to run away and get turnips. FD isn't bad either just because you have aerial control. Shrug. It's tricky stuff. Hyuga covered most of the same stuff, but I just thought I'd illustrate my thought process.

Geez, I can't believe that you guys hate Corneria with Jiggles!!! You are all forgetting one thing there: rollout. I spam that attack there like nobody's business, because of all of the curves.

A lot of people would argue that the attack is too easy to foresee there. What I do is charge it in the air, and release so that I hit my opponent before I touch the ground. My friends know when it's coming, but they can't avoid it, I time it so well. If they dodge or jump, I reverse and come back at them. The only real way for them to dodge is if they go to the lower lvl, which I can easily use rest on them from above. This technique works best when you are team fighting. Your ally attacks them, you charge up behind him, and let her rip. Half my kills are from this on Corneria, the other half from Rest.

I also love Hyrule temple. I stick to the mid-left and if hit hard off the side, I float down to the bottom. By that time i normally have a lot of damage, and I stay in the lower section.

Geez, I can't believe you're new here and think you know more than one of the best jigglys in the country!!! :p Advice: when you're new, read before you talk.

Dude, I did read. I know that Corneria has a low ceiling. I know that only half of you like it. It has been a problem from time to time. It's just that Corneria fits my style of playing Jiggly. That's my style, that doesn't mean it works fo all Jiggles out there. And Dude, you don't need to be offend someone to get the point across. Save it for the trash talk with your friends; not people who post their own personal opinions.

Edit: I trash talk my friends all the time, this just isn't the place for it.

Um, smashboards is a great place for trash talk. But I wasn't trash talking. <_< All I was saying is that you mentioned things that aren't even applicable. Hyrule Temple is a good example. When I said read, I meant read more around the whole site so you can be more informed.

I think Jigglypuff is good where there are large areas, like Pokemonstadium or FinalDest. cuz the whole rollout thing works well, and if you rest someone, they will fly away with minimal interruptions. plus, more area to land when you eventually get blown away by another character...or a bomb....or a capsule....or a breeze.

i agreee with poke big stages = good try no to get to many platforms or sliding edges not to good you want a flat area

i think hyrule is the best place. u can fight at the bottom and when tossed or pound recover by landing by wall and floors.

big stages are best for jiggs because of her superior aerail maneuverability, but hyrule temple is banned from most tournaments--

and rollout is horrible on flat stages cuz its easy to dodge and if ur oppponent is experienced they could easily smash you out of it >_>

Just wanted to mention:

It is well worth your time as a Jigglypuff player to learn how to play on Poke Floats.

Jiggly has such a hard time against IC's, but most of IC's WD into random smash is useless on Poke Floats. Plus Nana is pretty retarded on that level.

Poke Floats IMO benefits Jiggly against Link, YL, and Peach as well. It's an anti-camper level. They CAN camp in some places, but eventually they WILL have to move and it WILL be predictable.

Stay low, DI properly, and don't forget to tech off the floats. Despite the fixed-camera, it's actually a decently sized stage.

Knowing how to play there is good, but it's such a small stage that it's only the best counter against a couple of characters, if any. Anyone that's going to kill you at low %s on FoD is going to do the same to you on Poke Floats, sometimes worse.

Mute City is the obvious favorite for Jiggs because of the side to side space, and the celing is high too. But I also like corneria, the spot to the right undert the wing is an awesome place for Jiggs, you can just corner your opponent and hopefully get a rest or two off. I understand that you can get a rest off anywhere, but under the wing on corneria just makes it that much easier.

Corneria is not for rollout. Rollout is a stupid, predictable move that should really never be used.

Corneria has low ceilings, short back end, and rests underneath the fin have a good chance of being teched. So there are its disadvantages, but I like the level anyhow, just not one I'd pick in a tourney
