View Full Version : Five Less Common De-sync(s)

I always hear about the rolls and dodges and de-sync during grab but I know of some other ways that I don't see mentioned that may help others out

1. left-right-left or right-left-right dash de-sync (lrl or rlr for typing purposes)

what this does is allow you to desync and still be able to keep your guard up to counter in case you have to switch to something else while you are trying to set up this de-sync.you have the option to continue with the de-sync or move away and try it again..

example: instead of getting close to someone and sidestepping or rolling around them, you can come towards them and set up an ice shot or a blizzard with nana while you follow up with popo. not to completely replace the other ways it's just another way to go about it

2: short jumping and fast falling: The timing on this one is easy if you plan on not attacking after you land but it's harder if you are trying to use it to set up a de-sync with an attack. Just jump once and fast fall.jump a second time and only one will jump depending only popo will jump allowing you to do something and have nana follow up

NOTE: this third one is not very useful but I figured I would still list it anyway

3: A to fwd-b : On the ground tap A and immediately after tap fwd+b
for some reason this is the only move you are able to do after the A tap and de-sync that way...

4:DA dash: do a DA dash or a pivot and then tap down to bring nana a little closer to you and then do an attack...only nana will do the attack if you time it right.

5: A stationary grab: while you're not standing near anyone else you can press grab and then hold the attack you want to do and nana will do it after the grab animation finishes

you can use this while you WD left or right since you will still slide away as the grab animation is coming out.

I only listed these because you're not always in a situation where you can set up a de-sync with a roll or a dodge...

the first one is the best for people who don't like to take to the air much cuz it kinda forces them to...or they will constantly eat a blizzard up close

the second one is really just for show it doesn't help much and nana rarely responds to the input afterwards

I hope this helps someone out there

***oh one more thing***

if you WD towards someone and hold away from the opponent and grab you'll grab with nana instead of popo

same thing if you're walking and you turn around b4 you completely stop walking

I have some other de-syncs but I wanted those to be known to more people even if some people already knew about them.

Wow thanks a lot of the 1-4 (#5 I already knew), it helps a lot. I had some trouble with the side step de synch, now I can just dash and get out of it. Also the WD toward and hold back to grab with Nana is sweet. Props for this man, it helps a lot. It shows how many ways there are to de synch.

The interesting thing about number 3, is that if you do your a move, then hit diagonal down b, nana does blizzard and popo does the over b, unfortunately the moves last almost the exact same time, so it doesn't really desync, i don't know if this could ever be used advantageously, but i'll let better players than me figure that out.

lol is that even a word?

Tap+forwardB is useful. you can get nana to smash while popo is hitting the enemy with the forwardB or you can get her to grab if they shield.

Thanks for #2
