How do you guys push the B button for hsi down+B? I try a lot of ways but I'm just too slow to make it mean something >_<. Any tips on button mashing?

i really hate Thread tiltes like this...it has nothing to do w/ the subject...most people ignore a lame "I have a question.." title...or bored people get lured in...for nothing interesting.

but anywho...
i am left handed and suffered pressing the B button fast because i can not "turbo" w/ my right; only my left.

"turbo pressing" is vibrating your whole lower arm by strainging your bicep muscle. If you learn to build a rhythm using your finger as the centerpoint to the button. Overall the single fastest way to press a button.

Another way of pressing a button fast, is alternatively pressing B w/ both thumbs. (as one thumb leaves, the other thumb hits it, ect)This sadly does not work since your thumb is requred to hold Down at the start..so it doesn't work.

i have discovered a new way!!! (for us lefties who need to turbo a righthanded-button)
Like turbopressing u strain your left arm, holding the contoller alone! Your right thumb remains on the button but not actually pressing it. I have formed a neurological pattern to keep my right hand lightweight; but finger-firm over the button while 'shaking' the entire controller w/ my left.
And thats how i do it! ;)

If you want to see how fast u can press the button play mario party5(i think)..the one where u keep hitting w/ the hammer and all the Thomps appear after(in a domino-esque effect) in number to how many times to pressed the button.
You are given 10 seconds.
My record is 124...Thus my average is 12x/second.

It's all about the thumb muscle. If you're a hardcore gamer your thumb should already be pretty buff. Just mash, but in all honesty, don't wear out your thumb. There have been plenty of times I've mashed so hard that my thumb was tired the rest of the match. Bad situation.

I don't mean this to offend you, but you'd get more responses if you used correct grammar in the title of your post.

thumb muscle?
please...straining the bicep can be up to 3x the speed of just continually 'tapping' the button w/ your thumb.

vibrating your whole arm, moves at a way faster speed than how fast u can mash moving your thumb up and down.

It does takes a little time to learn to vibrate your arm and keep the correct distance and sensitivity so you u keep hitting it, and not hold it down and not give it space to go back up.

All my friends did it for the longest time...crushing me at Dragonball GT: Final bout(button speed pressing a neccessity for the game in all the constant beam battles)

defeat after defeat got me a little sick in the head..so i ended up freezing him entier arm with ice packs until i started shivering it like crazy.
...nope, didn't really help me much.

the moral of story is learn to press buttons teh natural way ;)

Obviously you arn't a megaman pro, Cyphus. With training it is possible to get a faster rate of fire using only the thumb muscle than with the weasle finger technique. I know a guy who, in megaman anniversery collection, can fire faster with A than he can with the software turbo. Its very useful when you've gotta jump and fire off all 3 shots at the peak of your jump.

beating turbo controllers isn't anything new to me and my friends. We used to COMPETE all night just to see who can press buttons the fastest(PokeStadium1/2/marioparties/ and most importantly DBGT FB) Trust me...i know my button pressing.
EDIT: this isn't worth argueing over, so I got rid of my info on why its faster.

Charoo...if ur having trouble pressing a button fast, just practice around with every different style of speed pressing(even if it requires a controller handling unworkable w/ melee)
then learn to utilize that in the real Doc Tornado situations. Be creative, like my lefty idea...anything can work :D

ok ive said this before, and i still have no real evidence to back it up. but i still havent been proven wrong so its still kinda a mistery.

when i do the tornado to recover, i always tend to do it at the same tempo, and when i do it faster it doesnt seem to benifet me at all.
my "theory" is that there is a tempo with doc, unlike mario where you can mash all to hell. if i had to guess at what the tempo is id prolly say somewhere around 10-15 press's per second.

the key is really to never slow down, make sure whatever tempo your doing the tornado at that you keep it up all the way through cause if yuo slack at the end you drop like a rock.

From what I heard, try to press b 6 times as fast as possible before the tornado stops. That will usually give you the max comfortable elevation.

w/ all due respect, what the freak is that suppose to mean?

and like i said, i can D.Jump/attack before i land, from the Doc Tornado. Can anyone else do that?

I actually tested my height normal, 1/2, and on 1/4th.
I read the exact same height for all 3.
This means, i'm actually reaching the maximum height on natural speed! w00t!!

similarly, you can actually turbo press Luigi Cyclone so that it brings you up some!!! ( i bet alot of you didn't know that)
strangely enough, his tornado has no midway. Either it takes him up, or(if u didn't press it fast enough) u go down. Sadly the speed requirement to take u up, is very high for luigi cyclone.

You just have to remember to reset the luigi cyclone, if you do that itīs not too hard to get him up and even have some vertical distance.

Yo I'm a major lefty and you're telling me you can't turbo with your right hand? Dude that's just sad.

my butt0n pressing > j00rs

i cant believe this thread is still getting f0cktards posting in it.
(watch as i make a dumb post)

i heard from ken that when you press B fast enough theres a special easter egg, apparantly, (according to ken) both marios, and luigi, will run across the screen chasing eachother, playing grabass. ive never done it but someone should try. i thnk you have to be pressing it faster than a turbo does it.

yea...its all so true..but if you press B faster than a faster than turbo press Dr.Phil, Sonic, and a purple triangle appear and they dance around restoring all your health.
