Ok, reading the newb guide i got a confirmation on this, but I can't get it to work properly. Is there a specific range for the hit to meteor them?

Hit the enemy with a dair, dtilt or dsmash when they're hanging on the ledge/recovering from below. If you're lucky with the dair, it will meteor spike. The other two will semi-spike then with a ricochetting move which they'll have to walltech to survive (or be really fast with the up + b).

I just have to say thanks to Fallen. Your explanation of the dtilt and smash finally cleared up my confusion on why it seemed like neither of those worked as edge guards for me. :)

Will her D-air actually count as a meteor in the respect that it can be meteor canceled?

Dair doesn't send down at all... it sends straight up. Try it at 999% in training mode on a jumping opponent.

It's not a spike or a meteor.

The only reason it might seem like one is that at lower percentages, the knockback is low enough that the opponent will start falling before he recovers from the stun.

For dtilt'ing its a -45* tilt (from horizontal plan) light hit?

Because when i try to do a dtilt, it looks like the down A animation.

He's right... I still had that stupid delusions that it could because I never really tried it myself since the other air moves were more reliable for edgeguarding.

Oh well, at least I learned something from this.

It's been a while since I actually daired people hanging on the ledge, but doesn't it send them down? I've heard of meteor smashing with dair, so I assumed this is what caused it.

As for the dtilt and dsmash, they both make the opponents ricochet off the ledge, making it impossible to survive without walltech or a fast (and LONG) up + b.

NICE TO KNOW: There seems to be some kind of glitch at least in PAL. If Sheik needles you while you're floating towards the stage, even if you're not next to the ledge, you can walltech off it o_O.

It looked really weird. One minute, I'm floating and going "La di da", the next, it looked like Peach teleported to the ledge, did 180 turn (I was facing the other way when floating) and walljumped o_O

There's a spiking guide on gamefaqs that lists peach's d-air as a being able to spike if the tip of the foot hits the person and not the rest of the strikes. This supposedly works on a few characters with rapid hit down airs like jiggy... but at least for peach I'm pretty sure now that I tried it that it can't spike.

Her dair seems to have a fixed amount of upward knockback that is not effected by percentage.... because a character gets sucked into it at 0% the same they do at 999%.

No.
Shame on you for trusting GameFAQs, as well.

lol ty for your input. I must test, test, test what I can. Going to practice float fall canceling as well as using her wave dash to evade attacks. Unfortunately, I am forced to play on my friends system (only when he plays) and he uses fox, so it will be really hard to start to use. Once I can start doing it on a consistant basis though, I should get good fairly quickly :P

Also, the dair CAN kill at 999%. You just have to hit with it in a certain way <_<'.
