I was playing a match on Corneria. It was a time match vs a lv 1 pika. My friend was over and i was showing him some of my skillz.
A red shell droped to the ground, and i jumped on it. The shell started to knock us around, so i used my reflector. I held the reflector button, and after i reflected it a few times, it broke and did something similar to when your sheild explodes. The shell continued to hit us both, but instead of doing the regular 7-10 damage, it started to do about 100 damage per hit! The pika reached 634 percent, and I reached over 800 percent. Is this new, or old?

This also works with Fox as well as Falco, and on any map. Reflect it 6 or so times and bang, instant pain. It's related to Mewtwo's glitch generally dubbed the "Soulbreak", which consists of repelling the red shell 5 times using confusion (forward+B), then having Bowser drop down in front of you and confusing him before the shell hits again. Your shield will break, you will leap into the air a tad, and Bowser will be "stuck" on you, unable to move, and will follow you around wherever you walk, run, jump or whatnot. You can even damage him when in this mode.
Edit: If you repel the red shell 6 times using Confusion, the same thing happens as when you repel it with Fox/Falco. It constitutes as a shield break, and it will start doing some 80 points of damage.

To answer your question, yes, this is just a wee bit old.
Nice try though... :p

Eh, it's Captain Crap. Knowing him, he probably read about this glitch somewhere and tried to make it seem like it was his own precious discovery. I just clarified it for future reference. It certainly didn't happen during a heated battle with a friend unless the friend was standing still on the other side of the ship while he was happily reflecting away for 10 seconds.
Every other post he makes he feels the need to clarify, just for the record you understand, that he does indeed own at this game, or that he used to own three level 9 computers a few years ago but that he sucks now, then proceeds to ask really dumbfounded questions. He also once asked people to rate his "new video of himself playing, I think I've gotten pretty good" which turned out to be a 1-stock match vs the CPU that some people have had on their hard drive for a year or two. Just a hint: Impersonating others is never a good idea.
Please, Captain Crap, do yourself a favor and don't post too much until you gain a better understanding of the game itself. When you're not filling the boards with spam, you read about a topic on Smashboards or GameFAQs, then proceed to virtually copy and paste the newfound information into other posts made at Smashboards, seemingly in an attempt to make yourself seem like a knowledgeable player. There's no reason for you to do that. People aren't going to be impressed that you can beat a Level 9 CPU. Why crave attention from a bunch of internet nerds discussing a Nintendo game?

I only lied about the Falcon one, not this one.

Yeah, That wouldnt be broken at all. You should be able to delete posts.
I think you're all missing the gem here, he fights a level 1 computer to prove how good he is.
cut the spam.
yes, it's been known. it doesn't seem to be able to kill all too well, but it does craploads of damage each hit. yadda yadda.
EVERYONE CUT THE STUPID SPAM.
