Vs. Mario

My Jiggs is havinga bit of trouble against this one Mario. He likes to Cape and dodge a lot. Suggestions? Or just general anti-Mario strategies?

if you keep getting caped during WoP try putting a dair in it as you close in on him, if he capes atleast he'll take some damage.

Your Nair should also still be able to hit every so often if caped, as long as you're not coming straight at him horizontally. As far as caping goes, if he continously capes you, then you've got to keep him on his toes, instead of doing an attack when you jump in, slow up the timing or jump over him or up for a slight pause. When he goes for the cape, and miss then come in for an attack or rest if you can get it. Try as much as possible to get him off the ledge, back throw is your friend here. If you can get him off you probably have a good chance to keep him off for good.

If you know he is going to cape you, do an attack in the opposite direction, so when you are caped, you attack will turn around and hit him.

If you get the opportunity to work in a grab when mario's at low %'s, go for a down throw -> upward pound -> rest. Not the most reliable due to mario's weight, as well as DI, but it can catch someone off guard. Hope this helps.

as long as the mario has any reaction time, he'll see ur making an attack backwards and instead of caping u, he'll smash you.

if he is as predictable as he sounds.... just use rollout... u dont kno wtf's gonna happen and he can't predict it, u'll get lucky once in a while and he'll pay for it, lol.

rollout would actually be a pretty poor choice against a cape-spamming mario. unless ure crazy good with rollout and can turn rigt b4 he capes u, ure prolly gonna go off the edge
