Can you choose whether you play Nana or Popo?

uhhhh, it looks like when you change your color as an ice cilmber you can also change wether you control nana or popo right? You would want to use Popo as your main because he does more damage overall correct?

Umm... you can't do more damage if you switch colors. It's still the same and you have lead and follow Ice Climbers, they just look different.

Well, I was reading some guide on gamefaqs that said on a lot of the different moves that Popo did like one more damage than Nana. Like it said that on the dash attack Popo deals 9% damage while Nana deals 8% damage.

So it seems like you would always want to have Popo as your main since he does more damage and is better off when your support char gets knocked out. Also, all the ice climber videos I've seen always have the people using the colors that put Popo as their main char.

gore's right. it's just a color change, that's all; two of the colors happen to swap popo for nana (like the red/white one i use).

But if popo, (not nana) breaks his shield, you can controll nana for awile.

No, actually you can control Popo too if Nana breaks her shield. The one in the lead changes depending on the color of their parkas, but nothing is really changed except the character layout.

actually there is a difference. Nana is stronger and faster but gets knocked alot further and takes more damage.
Popo doesnt get knocked as far and doesnt take is much damage and is a lot smater as a cpu then nana.

Thats what it seemed like to me, It apeared as though Popo would do much different things with AI than Nana would. I remember he actually did some very unexpected things that saved me when I was playing against my friend.

Maybe they're different maybe they're not.... They seem different to me , but Gore and CORY both said there wasn't any difference and from what I've seen in their videos they're extremely good with the ICs so I'm guessing they know them from top to bottom. Anyone else have any info on the topic?

i guess so. but i think its different in stats. i play ic frequently. my friend does to. there on my top 5. i play nana all the time.
