Ive seen a captain jack video where Doc performed 2 Up B's in the air without being hit in a Doc ditto match in a recovery. I thought only mario could do that. can anyone clarify which characters can do it and how? thanks for any help>

you were hallucinating. no one can, Mario can only do it against a wall.

A mod can close this now.

just in case you were right i watched the video a few more times.
In serious battle No. 75 on Captain jacks site the white coat Doc appears to do two Up B's as a recovery in the first half of the fight. I know it doesnt seem likely but please view the clip before totally disagreeing. again serious battle NO.75. thanks

I just watched that video, and it looks to me like that's exactly what he does. I'd seen Mario do it, so I always just kind of assumed that Doc could do it, too. Not that surprising, really.

I went through the vid.

You're absolutely right. He does the same thing Mario does, the up B glitch. I guess its because their attacks are the same)up B's I mean.

But I can guarentee no other char can do this. Even luigi.

I believe all of you are wrong. The only instance I can think of that might make you think such is when both Docs still have 3 stocks. sRoyal(white Doc) smash CJ and edge hogs. Cj recovers, and is quickly grabbed by sRoyal, who down thows, and attenpts to back air, CJ uses upB to escape, not sRoyal, he falls, attempts to recover with upB, fails and dies. DOC CANNOT USE UPB TWICE WITHOUT.

thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now that a couple of people agree with me. can anyone tell me how the Up B glitch works?
and btw i didnt think any other char. could do it except for mario and doc.

also btw stunt cuum i dont mean to double post but the instance in that battle im talking about, the doc actually survives using the double up B so youre looking at the wrong part of the battle when you say he died.

54 seconds. Look closely. I don't see how you could possibly miss it.

EDIT: To specify further, the white Doc does it.

I just watched this and I think I have the solution.

Pink Doc is hanging on the ledge and white doc is recovering.

Pink doc drops to an up and B (first up and B sound), white doc jumps and then up and B's right after (second sound) watch it a few times (watching both docs) and you will see that is what happens.

I think you saw his jump as a single up and b followed by another because you heard the sound. The sound was from pink doc.

The Cape got it in one. The White doc DJ's while the Pink doc uses his UpB, right after, the white doc also uses UpB. It does look a little like it, but if you watch one doc, then rewind and watch the other, you should see that's what happened.

Did he do anything like this: http://hp742.hp.infoseek.co.jp/smadx/play/wall.html . If not i'm not sure what he did.

EDIT: I agree with the cape, it may have sounded like 2 up+bs, but thats all it is. If you think he might have done 2 up+bs getting up from the edge at about 52 seconds, all he did was teleport to the edge.

OOOOHHHH, now i see, at 54 seconds.....nothing out of the ordinary happens. Doc cant upB twice. I dont mean to be negative, but one would think ppl on SWF could keep up with the game.

you have got to be a major ****tard to not relize that the pink doc UpBs at the same time making the sound effect. if he could up B twice we'd know how he did it, but he don't and that final. if you don't believe me or any other smashers who have sense enough to relize he does not do it twice then go on and practice this tactic cause you WILL gain nothing, cause ti WILL not happen

I don't think it's odd you didn't notice it..
I watched the video, and thing is that Jack(the white) is using his double jump at the instant when the pink one is using his upB.. That way, you se his jump, but can hear the upB sound becouse its louder than the double jump sound. This gives the illusion that he is using upB twice...

well I'll be darned. oh, well so much for a possible Doc revelation.

Thanks. Thats how I saw it to.

Guess this means case closed, no Doc double Up and B.
