Mario vs CF HELP!!!

Hey in my last tournement i lost to a Captain falcon in the finals and this is because he is much better than me. But also i think it had a little bit to do with the fact that i had never played a good Captain falcon before. Does anyone have any tips on how mario should fight a really good Captain Falcon like dark rain because there is a tournament this sun and hes gonna be there and most likely if i play him i will just get raped again... so if anyone has any tips on what i should try to do against CF... It would be much appreciated

U tilt and U air can juggle him and his recovery is easily caped. Be vary of the knee.

Also, (even though its one match) on the hub is a video called Tetsuya (Mario) vs C. Falcon. This may help you out a little bit.

One good mario player said if Doc or mario gets Captain grabbed and bthrowed off the stage at about 40 % then you can say Bye Bye to Falcon, since if he tries to sweetspot cape him, if he goes for the stage grab him so you can btrhow him off the stage again.

I´d say WD a lot or at least reasonably much to avoid his insane speedy aerial approaches.

you most definitely have to stay on the move... though id stay out of the air for the most part. mario kinda hovers..,. not really floaty but close so u might get kneed in the air.

the guys before me pretty much got it... but use the up throw at low percents and you can get a usmash in after it, then probly a ftilt or fsmash if you're lucky. at higher percents go ahead and dthrow and dsmash him.

the cape is gonna be a great edge camper... but also use the bair. if you can shffl it, you can probly get him off the edge.

Sex kick out-prioritizes anything he has, and Cape flat out owns him. Even with that though, a higher skill level C. Falcon might still give you a really rough time if he's fast enough. I think Doc is better for the matchup because pills are excellent at helping you keep Falcon at bay.

I wonder could dair out prioritize C. Falcon's nair or fair. If so then when he decides to dash dance run in with a Sh dair LC to punch and dsmash or since your Mario you may be able to tack on the second punch then dsmash. if he jumps over the dair ff as quickly as you can the do full jump to double bair. That should help you seal the deal somewhat.

ehh it doesnt matter..... i will always hate captain falcon and i especially will never beat darkrain when he is captain falcon and almost every other character.....although i did beat him with mario
