Just an interesting thing I've noticed (possibly old). Try repeatedly smashing the c-stick down or try doing consecutive downsmashes with a+down. Not so fast. But if you desynch them via a simple ground dodge and do the down smash solely with Nana, then with Popo, then Nana, you can generate less of a window if you're edgeguarding for your opponent to slip through. And even if they do, they have another smash waiting for them. I haven't tried this with a forward smash, but I assume it works too. Just a fun little observation I made while playing.

it's pretty nifty, but it's not quite fast enough, doesn't have quite enough priority or range, and you're completely open from the side (above the hammers) and above, which can screw some stuff up. it's mainly kick *** when you have a shielder pinned against a wall since you can usually get two staggered hits in, screwing up all grab timing and making it hard to jump or anything at all, and when they do drop their shield (or if they decide to take three or four hits), they eat a smash or three with the wall there to keep them from going too far ^_^

It also seems handy for those situations where you ground dodge, and your opponent is waiting to shield grab you. You get Nana to do her downsmash, then they unshield and go for the grab thinking that the hammer onslaught is over, when BAM! Popo follows up with another downsmash.

And I tried it with the forward smash, it works well. Maybe you could combine them to mix it up. Like have Nana downsmash, Popo forward, Nana down, Popo up, and also switch the directions of the forward smash.

it's just not useful enough, overall, to spam smashes unless your opponent's off the edge or already reeling from some other ****up they made.

and most people know not to grab ic's nowadays ^_~ only exceptions are space critters and marios, mainly, because they can get some stupid invincibility frames and clanking through the other ic's attacks : (

try alternating the --> Smash (Nana) and the D Smash (Popo). it has holes, yes. but it dosnt leave you as open as spamming the D-Smash alone.

While I really don't know a whole lot about the ICs, I do know that I hate their downsmash almost as much as I hate Peach's and Pika's. It's gotta be the fastest smash in the game. If you're caught behind it you really have no chane to block it in my experience. Comes out almost instantly.:( Now I don't like ICs as it is because the only chars that counter them I suck with. And they counter the ones I'm good with. >_< I just hope for my sake that this thread doesn't develop into new ways to link multiple smashes together. >_<

LOL, I know Samus. She's been one of my mains forever, but the problem now is that I'm feeling like I can't keep up with her anymore. =(

yeah, I've been complaining about the Samus / Ice Climbers match up forever now... LoL, at least you got a grasp for them for when you get desperate.

Tweeked plumber < Snow Twins. I can do like 40 damage every time I grab him. I can't chain grab him .... yet.

And I can already link multiple smashes together. But I won't tell anyone else, so just worry about me and maybe chu.

sowwy, I posted under mat"s account, but yeah...

Oh, and I forgot to say I can make Nana and Popo face opposite directions and do a DSmash, right out of the wave dash.
