(Roy) (Combos)

Hey, im pretty new to the boards, and just recently started playing SSBM with my brothers. Ive chosen roy as my guy , and am having trouble with combos.

If you guys could list some combos (that i can understand) (not up on the SSBM lingo :) ) i would really appreciate it.

Or Some Strategies vs either (Mario) or (Fox) would be greatly appreciated to.

As for the SSBM lingo, you really aren't going to find anything without it, but you can go to the Answers to all your questions (http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42749) thread for what everything means. It's easy to understand, it's not like it totally takes words with no relevence whatsoever.

I'm not a really experience player but I like Roy a lot..

Some of my favourite moves with him are when you grab the opponent, throw them forward and start a Double Edge Dance and use Forward and B for 3 hits and it should knock them pretty far away.

Another strategy I like is popping characters like Fox up in the air and then keep him up with aerials but Roy's air attacks aren't that great so if he's any good with Fox, he'll find ways around it. But I don't play with people that good yet, so it'sall good for me. :)

If you have troube against Fox, do DTilt and Fsmash right after. If you're close to the edge, that's a KO most of the time. Edgeguard with the Flare Blade (B charge) works if the Fsmash doesn't KO him. =]

It's flare blade, not blazer. Blazer is his up+b.

There are no set combos. Dtilt > fsmash against fast fallers is the only one that's pretty much set in stone. Just learn what his moves do and just improvise.
