Beating Marth

i am having the most difficult time trying to get past marths sword. Its so long! i know i'm suppse to try mind games and wave dash out of his range and stuff, but he always just swings the giant blade and gets me with the end or something and kills me. What are you supposed to do to beat marth? HELP?!?

awwwww is dave having trouble beating KP? despite the fact that marth has been considered a counter for jiggly because of his ridiculous range, I would think that an experienced player like yourself could beat him. o wait i forgot you can only shieldcamp against fastfallers. >_>

KP loves spamming the fsmash. a great technique that Mike C. used against eric at the cybercon tournament was to shield the fsmash, and immediately after the attack is shielded, wavedash out of the shield into a grab. but that requires you use the opposite shoulder button than the one you are using for your sheild. it also requires that you have some skill- so i guess that means you can't beat him

o yea cory has played eric's marth almost as many times as i have (A LOT)- so he definitely knows how to play against a semigood marth.

i could beat u with pichu if i had to- the only reason u beat me is cus i use a fast faller- i thought u were overall good but then i realized when kp pwns u all the time that all ure good at is shieldcamping- and according to kp- he owns u all the time- although even i have to admit half the **** kp says is bs

wutevr- with the new training im doing to stop u i doubt ill lose anymore to u

still- whenever i have too much % for u to rest combo me, ure too easy

so yes- i think u suk - and u will never beat eric's marth because u cant upuff->rest whatsoever and lack the WoP skill that cory has

And im sorry if i offend u so badly by using the only chance i have against u in a cheap way. christ, ur the only person i shieldcamp against. and i CAN up puff, and i CAN up puff -> rest with a little practice. Also, cory has nothing on me except WoP, which, again, i just need practice with. Don't forget, Alex, All u guys have been playing smash much longer than i have, and maybe if u helped me instead of mocking me, i could get better

how can i help you? cory is the only one who can help u- by playing me you can learn to properly integrate WoP with other moves and uthrow->rest like DA Chris suggested- but rather u make the same mistake eric used to make- you play to win rather than to learn. Yea I suppose its good that im learning how to adapt to shieldcamping but at higher levels I'm not gonna end up facing any camping jigglypuffs.- so you're better off for the both of us to stop shieldcamping

so basically- i do have the right to criticize you cus you're not getting any better which is bad for our entire crew

i didnt say that u couldnt criticize me alex, but saying i suk and u could beat me with pichu (which i doubt) isnt criticism. Also, shieldcamping isnt exactly my style, but when i am placed up against u in a tournament, im gonna try somthing stupid and cheap to try and beat u. Ofcourse, since it worked, i tried it again at alex's house, where it again worked. if you count it up, that = 2 times i played you and beat u by shield camping. 2! i dont even practice it at home ir nething. but fine, if you want me to stop then i will. i will strictly practice WoP against u.
btw, i have been practicing wavedashing out of my shield and it isnt overly difficult. i have also been practicing puff rest (which cory told me he couldnt do)

when you start bragging yes claiming that my pichu>you is justified criticism (i probably can win)- and its not like you have to practice shieldcamping - you were already good at it- considering we played about three times at alex's house and three times at S4C that would make 6 even though i agree the S4C times were ok. still u obviously dont understand what DA Chris was explaining- you are supposed to integrate the various techniques instead of depending on one predictable style. Incorporate WoP, maybe some smashes, mind games, rest combos, and shield camping. Don't depend on one style because high level ppl like the ones that responded to my other post know how to deal with that.
