so, desynching is fun... lets talk about it
first off, if doing a dodge or a roll to set up the desynch, when do u need to input the command to nana? ive been workin on it in training at 1/4 speed, tryin to get the timing right... but i just cant find the spot. all i know is that it's sometime between when popo comes back from the dodge and when nana comes back. does anyone know more specificly?
also, once desynched... what do u like to do? do u just do one move then attack with popo? or do u like to try to keep the desynch going? really the only move ive found to keep it going is the ice block... nana can do w/e she wants, but i can only keep it going if popo does an ice block, then nana can SH fair, then popo ice block, then nana grab, etc... can u all keep the desynch going with a different move?
another thing: what grab combos do u all like to use? i prefer to go for the infinite every time (if im playing serious). at which point i just hold forward and tap a as fast as i can--its a quick 200 damage. then again, smashing from a dthrow is fun.
so yea... hopefully this will get some discussion goin...

You have to press the input you want during the roll/dodge, and hold it until and after it ends. I just did some testing with the ground dodge (27 frames long) and if you hold B until 28 and release on 29, Nana will shoot an ice block. Heck, you don't even have to let go of B (unless you want Popo to follow with a B move).
It also works with other buttons, of course (and the c-stick). Getting Nana to do charged smashes is as easy as holding a direction and A (continue holding A)
NOTE: when holding A, you can't grab.
NOTE: Blizzard will take Nana out of any A attack.
I don't usually play Ice Climbers, but after experimenting with this stuff, I might pick em up!
holding b is kind of a sloppy way of doing it. you want to learn their timing, trust me.
try **** like, shooting a block w/ nana and then turn around and Shield WD backwards and SH out of the shield and back aerial LC.
You can WD 2 or 3 times before the block disapears. Just change it up alot, like Shield WDing once, and then WD out of the shield and dash toward and JC grab right as the block is going to hit the enemy. More tactics fore you mofos comin' soon...

yea, i understand the easy stuff like shooting a block and chasing after it with popo... i was really looking for some more in depth ideas.
one of the big things i wanted to get some ideas on was continuing a desynch. its easy to alternate ice blocks from a desynch (space them out a little) but is there any other move that can keep going like this? it seems like anything else will end the desynch and they will be moving together again.
a WD after a nana ice block sounds pretty good... can i input commands to nana while im in the WD? like can she sit there and cover me with ice blocks will i wavedance in front of her?

Dodge dancing while tapping A allows Nana to grab without the worry of Popo grabbing. this is also another way to desynch. probably not the best way, but it works.
powda- I wish!!! covering popo from a distance would be tiight, son. Oh yeah, umm... you can only control nana (synched, or de-synched) if she is within a certain distance of popo. Say, if you side dodge and then shoot the initial block and WD out of your distance limit, nana will finish her block and then begin running to popo until they are resynchronized. She has some basic self defense logic, which is primarily standard a's, you shouldn't depend on this though, and instead try to rejoin them ASAP.
Another situation: Let's say your on final destination. Your nana is standing near the left edge. Your Popo is in the air to the left, recovering w/ a Foward B. Sometimes your opponent will approach you (lets say its a ganon) and do a standard b wizard punch or whatever, under the assumption that she is helpless. She can actually defend herself with random moves, including Smashes, standard A's, standard b, and down b also.
Yeah gotta go now, more later. O, and powda, are you the IC's player from the valley(of Texas) that tsetse was talking about?
and don't forget those times nana goes all "RARRR!" and pwnz the crap out of the opponent for you as you recover. that actually makes up for all the times she edge hogs me!

got the chance to watch Chu pwn everybody, almost everybody anyway, and I got to learn all kinds of stuff I know you guys already know! yay! on thing being desynching while getting on the edge. that was simply amazing to me!
lol, joshifer.
Yeah, chu's good. Make him come to Moast. I'm good too, but who cares?
