Alright, Peach is my main, and I've been getting a lot better as her, mostly because I've started to incorporate her aerials and float canceling into my game. But, I have not found a use for her D air, whether a setup, an interrupter, or anything. Can some uses be posted here?

1. Dair has virtually no lag whatsoever. On a clean hit, comboing it into nair, bair, or uair is easy.
2. Float canceled, dair hits also lead in grabs, aerials and smashes.
3. dair combos are also killer against Ganondorf, Sheik, and other characters that have the option of going for the edge or landing on the stage.
4. It provides just some protection from below against assaults where this is quick enough to react with. Though some is better than none.
Dair could be better, but is still ridiculously useful.

Can dair be used to fight off a scissor kick happy fox?

Dair is good for float cancelling but i think that its priority kind of sucks.
At least it pretty much outprioritizes most up + bs. :D

nothing like running towards someone, floating above their heads, and use d-air -> n-air/b-air. great mind game, since people expect a frontal attack (n-air cant be sidestepped and can be landed into grab/downsmash if ur opponent shields). other then that it has edge-guard purposes which ryoko stated and all in all its a great move to get a combo going (the move pops the opponent up a bit so u can place an ez attack after it).
Ryoko said the other less important things already ^^

just as a side note dont for a second think this will help against Pika's U-Air... I found out the hard way... >_>
It all depends on when Peach's dair hits... and IF she hits Pika. She might be floating too high up, but if she hits first, it doesn't matter. Priority isn't all in Smash :D

Only to a small extent since Peach's dair is slower than Fox's uair. You're not going to fend off any uthrow-uair combos with it.

do it when you know it'll work or else you'll get hurtt x_x
I like dair to grab. Peach has sweet grabs/throws.

yeah, but what it does come down to is when they do it. Pika has the longer reach in this situation. so if it is a timing issue then its would be Pika's fault in this case.

This isn't something I personally do but I've seen it effectively used by Peach players: dair onto the ground into a down smash.

If you're playing a shield grab happy opponent, you can do a floated dair and go through their shield. Ending up behind them and having chipped their shield. That's pretty much a free dsmash or a bair.

Or bair AND dsmash. :)

i have never EVER seen it done before but i've read that apparently peach's dair is also a spike. it is supposed to work the same way as jiggly's or fox's dair. you have space yourself and hit the oppenent with only the tip of the kick. if you don't, the kicks sucks them in and it doesn't spike. i haven't actually tried it myselft because it seems too hard to do, but it is something to try when you're overly bored

You're probably referring to the Spike FAQ at GFaq's. Peach's dair isn't a spike at all, though. It actually sends in the exact opposite direction, straight up, every time (although weakly). If you look at the hitboxes through AR, the Dair has no additional hitbox at the tip of Peach's feet, so this isn't the case.

yeah the point of the move is to send the opponent up for the next hit. and the lag is so non-existant that it can combo very easily.
