N64 Link Bomb Jump

Sorry, this is kind of a dumb post because I have SSB for N64, but it's at my house, and I won't be back for two weeks...

I was watching some SSBM Link Bomb Tech stuff, and I was thinking how awesome it would be if you could do that in SSB because recovery was Link's main weakness...

Then, I thought it might be possible, but as I said, I won't be able to test this out. Does anyone know the answer to appease my curiosity?

that would be cool, but I dont know. the reason I'm posting is because I have a feeling this will get closed and here is why. SWF already has a SSB room. Smash Arena. then again they might just move the whole thread over there.

I don't have my 64 with me either, but i doubt you could pull this off for a few reasons... Link's bombs fall slower in 64 (from what I remember), and his up-B doesn't go nearly as high. with those two things contrasting each other I doubt it's possible.

It is possible but the impact from the bomb doesn’t give you enough height, nor does the Spin Attack itself, so you’ll actually wind up losing vertical distance. Also, you cannot grab the ledge while facing the other direction like you can in Melee, and I do believe the bomb changes your direction (it’s been a while since I played it). Either way it’s certain that it’ll screw you over.

Heh, about a month ago a friend of mine and myself tried to go under dreamland with link and came very close. I took inspiration from the samus skillz vid from Wes and Tim and tried to help my link with the other link's bomb. More often than not the bomb would explode me the wrong way, XP.

Please note though that i tried to throw the bomb upwards and tried to spin attack it but the bomb always went too high and even it went close, the bomb wouldn't touch link at all. So no it will not work at all.

I did went under with fox and made it though, maybe later i'll try with some other characters.

That reminds me some dude challenged in SSB 64 today saying that even though I beat him in melee, he is going to totally rape me in SSB 64 . I just had laughed at him right there.

Well, that's too bad...N64 SSB Link is the one that needs bombs to help him get up higher.

...I guess that's why Link got a massive upgrade in SSBM.
