Mewtwo and Tournaments...

Has a Mewtwo player even win 1st place or at least very close to it in a high-level tournament? I do think it is possible, but that Mewtwo player would have to be **** nearly perfect and nearly never screw up, which is of course nearly impossible.

I'm interested in being a Mewtwo pro, but I don't think my Mewtwo will ever be better than my Mario.

Just keep practicing and eventually your Mewtwo will get better than your Mario. Become one with the Mewtwo... :D

My Mewtwo placed in a few tourneys... but where in most tourneys I've taken I could've done it with my other chars too. I have gotten second place in an AZ tourney by using Mewtwo in a situation I probably wouldn't do so well with my other characters.

I'm comin for the Mow! I want the title of being the best with the worst character!!!Even though I'm gonna make Mewtwo atleast midtier.

Mow may be the best, but it's my firm belief that there's always someone better than you.....ok not in every situation, but in this case, there's TONS of people. I have never been in a tourny and probably never will be, mainly b/c I wouldn't know where to go....and it's kind of pointless. However, if it meant pushing Mewtwo above bottom tier, hey! I'd do it!

If mewtwo isn't bottom, then who is? The current tier list doesn't put Mewtwo in the bottom I believe. No matter whose at the bottom, someone will argue that character doesn't deserve to be there.

Any discuss here at smashboards is pretty much related to current metagame, which is determined by known smash tactics. Not everyone visits this site though, and not everyone plays in tornements. So when its refered to the "best" of any character, we refer to someone who plays well at current metagame. There are "other" metagames out there, but its, in a way, irrelevant to discussion here.

That's where people are wrong. At any given time there maybe someone that's better than you, but who's to say there can't be a best? Why? Because there's someone out there that's better than him? Often the person with the strongest desire actually is the best.

I was just saying that Mewtwo is in no way bottom tier, because a lot of people are saying that mewtwo really has no good matchups against any char, and that he was worse than even Pichu and Bowser.

I disagree, and I intend to do everything I can to atleast make people look at Mewtwo differently, if only to keep him in low tier.

None of you have ever seen me play Mewtwo, so I guess it is irrelevent, and after my basketball season is over hopefully I'll be able to make it to more tourneys, and have an impact on the current metagame and show you some of the things that I do differently than Mow.

I haven't seen you play either Greta, but I bet your the great. :)

We have 3 hypothetical players that are considered to be "the best". They will be called players "A", "B", and "C".

Player "A" totally owns player "B" and just about every other player he comes across. Player "B" regularly beats player "C", yet player "A" often loses to the tactics of player "C".

Whos the best player? ;)

B > C
C > A

It would be player A, since he can beat most people, with player C being the exception.... seeing as A is better than B and C loses to B. The hierarchy would be kinda messed up.

A - wins the most, except against C
B - Loses to player A who wins more
C - Can take the better player A but doesn't win as much.

It really is one circle of anal butt****age... it'd have to go on who wins the most.

I think player's style and strategy is always a key factor.

Player A owns everyone cause he's real good and has played a bunch of people

Player B is an unrelated smasher, good/bad he loses against A.

Player C could be a friend of A, and since they play alot and C knows A's strategy, he can take him on and win on many occations.

Time to take the M2 boards....:D
