i hear people fighting if they should use turnips or not.....i hear there the slowest projectile and isnt a good idea to use them but i think would prefure to use them cause it helps me to make my competition to be ready for me to throw it and it is almost the best edge garuder
so my main question is why do people think using turnips is so bad?
I like using turnips a lot cause I find that it helps to throw off my opponents rhythm, giving me opportunities to find slips and mistakes in their defenses. I know they don't do a lot of damage and are slow, but in those times you want to throw off your opponents, throwing turnips around helps, especially off the ledge and get the "Ping"ing turnip.

turnips are a huge part of my peach game,
1. Edge Guarding - I use the turnips to keep them off of the edge. You have to be careful because sometimes turnips will reset there jumps and its just a waste. I always like using a turnip against my friend who plays fox. The turnip can interrupt his up+b and stuns him. They can also see them up to float off the stage and smash them.
2.Turnip+Dash or Turnip+float fsmash- Another way I use turnips is throwing a turning and quickly following up with a dash attack. If they use the shield it leaves a opening for an attack. Try it....it works well sometimes. Also pull up a turnip and float close to the ground. When your relatively close throw the turnip and float cancel into a fsmash....extrememly fast and can catch them off guard.
There are other ways to use them, be creative
Turnips can be used for "attack cancelling" as I like to call it. Throw the turnip and dash towards the enemy for an attack. They'll have to either shield, attack the turnip or grab it in order to not be hit by hit (or WD backwards, but then they could still be hit by hit), leaving them open for a DA, CC:ed/up-cancelled anything or a grab.
Also, floatcancelled fairs and bairs into turnipthrows are the way to kill foes with the grandfather turnip.
You can also pull Beam-swords, Bo-ombs and Mr. Saturns, all of which are good in their own way (Mr. Saturn being able to almost break the shields of any character in just one throw).
Keep a turnip in your hand when having good spacing and punish any opening with a turnip into DA, CC:ed/u:ced fsmash/dsmash/usmash, tiltcombos or grab.

They are very useful in edge guarding. But really makes the person mad whenever you do it, but oh well its part of the game so use every thing available, even if it is slow.
"It makes other people mad"... well so is killing them. In Smash, anything goes. I've gotten pretty good at predicting enemy orbits to nail them with my turnips. And there's no better feeling when you nail them with that turnip and they tumble down to their deaths... especially Yoshis who will die the moment they get hit by the turnip (unless it's in the opening stage of their 2nd jump) :D

people are actually considering not using turnips? :S
Imo, peach needs turnips badly, there's nothing like a djced turnip throw into dash ^^. But honestly, peachs turnips provide her with stun to get clean hits in, they can rack a bit of damage, they can intercept people who come back, they can force an opponent to move into a direction and they can cancel attacks out... be my guest and dont use turnips, but ur missing out :P
