Sometimes with kirby, i'll do a throw, and he'll let the character go above his head, doing no damage to certain characters... anyone know why? seen this? maybe my version of ssbm is old?

i was reading the other thread on spiking (including the suicides)...

the worst way to die is when you think you'll do the suicide throw and win the game, but you end up jumping off the edge, letting go of your opponent, and dying on your own... (big self-diss...)

I am pretty sure this happens more on lower damages, just think about it though, see those scrawny arms of Kirby's? How can he hang on to anyone?

It's not a glitch, it's just possible to escape out of kirby's throw even when he's already throwing, and escaping from a throw is easier with low damage.

With normal charachters it is not possible anymore to escape from a grab when you're already throwing, it only works when you're hitting him with A or not doing anything at all.

this is kinda like the other thread. this is in the game to make not be Kirby a kamakazee machine. ::spellcheck::

It's not a glitch and it's fairly well known.

The stage is just mis-designed...so at the beginning if you Uthrow you land on the upper plats..and die. They should have made them ghosty so that you could pass through them and land back on the boat.

There is a spot on Mute City that does the same thing, if you can figure out the right spot...you can do it every time. The only difference is that on Mute City...Kirby doesn't die. Only his opponent. <Best Kirby throw: MC supplex KO.

this works for suicide to. they can get out of it and you are dead. to bad. (suicide throws are fun) lol

Thats why your best choice for a Suicide Throw off the edge is the U-Throw, as I've yet to have someone escape that, or the D-Throw, is it just the side-throws that are horribly bad?..Because I'm confused about that.

How do you escape the u-throw? Because whenever I'm fighting as Kirby and accidentally do the u-throw at the edge I die and the computer jumps a couple of times before falling to their death. Or is it just the perfect timing that the computer has?

Both. Whenever Kirby does an uthrow suicide, he'll always die first. This means that the computers, with their inhuman timing, can use whatever jumps they have left in the frames immediately after Kirby's death. They'll most likely still die though.

A good player, who knows Kirby, can escape the Forward and Back throws. I think Mew2King has a forumla for the escape process...

I already checked a while back. There's the normal grab escape formula, but nothing specific to Kirby. And the formulas definitely are not the same.
