how do u superwave dash?

This has been mentioned before, but I'll just repeat it. For quick reference, just read the bold.

After dropping a bomb, just before Samus hits the ground, move the joystick to the left or to the right, depending on which direction you want to go. As soon as Samus hits the ground, jam the joystick in the opposite direction. You'll see Samus move across the course at rapid speed.

Basically, it takes practice and patience to get it down, but if you get it down right, it can be a good technique in battle.

Or maybe to increase your chances you could not be so dense and maybe read a couple of the other threads, i'm sure Gaia has posted that same response more than 3 times. (most of them were to calibur, who needs to burn a fiery death being buried alive with salt being poured on him). The other way could be to practice and maybe learn some basic english, advise is a verb, advice is a noun, Gaia gave you advice, he did not give you advise, unless he somehow magically was able to give a verb to you, in which case he should be hailed as a god and Calibur thrown into a volcano or left to freeze in the arctic as a sacrifice to his power.

BTW, there's a nifty search feature that will, if you type in Superwavedash into the query, and check the samus threads, bring up nearly every thread on here, as it has been brought up way tooo many times, even multiple times in the same thread, so just please think for once before posting a new topic.

im having issues with this..... im doing everything right but no matter how quick i press the second direction samus hastens
about an inch and then completely stops instead of shooting off across the stage.HELP!

God this sucks. I've read like every thread about this, understand how to do it, but just can't get it to work!! ****!!! I have the same problem as chibi here. I drop the bomb. Hold the control stick left right after. Right after I hit the ground I smash right. There's smoke, Samus moves a little but then does nothing. Somwhere else someone said you hold the stick left (or right) right before you hit the ground, then smash opposite direction when u hit the ground. Same resuolt for me. No matter how much I read these threads I keep getting the same result even on 1/4 speed.

try not holding the direction, but instead just a quick left->right or vice-versa at that last second, i think its easier that way.

The best way to get the SWD down is to practice.

That's what I thought at first. So I would smash and immediately and let go of the stick but no change.

I can't practice something I've never done. I need to find the problem berfore I can practice it.

yeah, i used to have some problems with this, i think it's when you do it a bit early. My advice (omg, it's actually advice for once!) is to try it on no lower than 2/3 speed, otherwise it'll be too different from normal speed. just try to flick it at about the last second. For a good vid of it being used and an interesting way to do it (helped me out), is check out "samus_kuppa" on DC++.

That samus kupa vid is amazing. That is the most technical samus I have ever seen. At one point he actualy superwavedashed into his own missle o_O.

I know it sounds odd, but its easier when your in battle. I dont know why, but I almost never failed at Che Dat's tourny.

I guess my mind games are even weaker then I thought! LoL, I was trying to make you think that I was going to, but not actually do it so you wouldnt expect it when I did. and yeah about a third of the time is about how often I try to get it off. but yeah in the actual tourny I tried to limit it. got scared I guess. =/
