it may not be completely new but i havent seen any one or any vids that played ganon do this. what you basically do is while your holding on the ledge and the opponent is closing in you would usually press back to fall off then immediatly jump, uair. well if you press the c-stick back and immediatly press the joystick diagonal up (towards the edge and up) and uair you can get more range and land on the stage raher than catching the ledge again and climbing back up. with this in mind you can l-cancel the uair right away and rush your opponent and stand toe to toe instead of just depnding on the kick back of the uair to give you recovery time. if someone already knew this, mybad just figured it out and figured ganon players should know.

EDIT: you must quickly tap the c-stick back, if you do it to slow you would end up doing a bair.

I've actually done this a number of times SEEMINGLY on accident. I'll need to practice this, because if I connect with an up airial SO CLOSE to the ground and L-cancel it . . . well, that goes into a lot of combo's and whatnot

I usually stick to short hop wavedash recovery or short-hop shield recovery, sometimes I mix it up with an air-dodge, its hilarious.

But that kick. If I can do that on the flip of a coin every time, thats nifty.

Good for you to post this.

i was just practicing it and you can also dair onto the ledge its insane, although it might not be to smart or useful to dair onto the ledge its nice to know ganon can do alot more than thought off a ledge hop, i dont think he can fair but i have to practice some before i can really know.

shin ganondorf: a good place to practice is hyrule temple just use that ledge in the middle of the stage.

EDIT: ok i now know what works, what doesnt, and how to do it best. first uair, nair, and dair work you cant fair or bair and land on the edge. second to get optimal reach on his uair you have to do the uair right before hitting the ground (dont c-stick up as soon as you ledge hop, it makes it harder and you wont get full reach). the length of his uair can be measured at hyrule temple. got to the ledge in the middle of the stage next to that tunnel, if you uair properly on that ledge you can hit a char slightly behind the little step by the ledge (not by stairs). and thats basically it, its tough to pull cosistanly but definetly possible. oh and you will know if you did it right if ganon has both feet on the floor.
