Bowser and Pichu are bottom tier and Mewtwo is Low. If you become skilled at the game you might use one for low tier tourney's(Mid, Low or bottom tier chars only). Check out the tiers and try using some of the higher characters. Its interesting that someone playing a low tier character at a low skill level against someone of similar skill won't get crushed and someone playing a low tier at high skill level against another high skill level will do just as well. But at mid skill levels low tier chars aren't very good which is why many people end up switching to good chars before they get good. People who play low tiers seriously usually start playing low tier for kicks and end up playing seriously b/c they develope a liking for the char. But above all you should pick chars that you like to play(unless ur playing for money :chuckle: . It is a game after all and games are about having fun.

Read the thread's original question over again, and then read my answer. He didn't ask who is the best to use, he asked who ISN'T USED a lot, to which I replied that nobody uses Bowser - except me - pichu, or M2 - except Mow. So before you get all pissy mad, reread the thread before you start name-calling.

And for the record I believe Captain Jack said he thinks Bowser is high tier. Bowser only really struggles against a select few characters and he covers a LOT more than you'd think.

Seriously, I made a friggin thread about it!! Geez, I hate it when people spread false information. I will say that Jack said Bowser has the most potential of all te bottom tier characters tho.

Tiers are dumb. They show the "results" of how "good" a character is based on tournaments, which determines the current metagame. The fact that Bowser at the bottom doesn’t imply that he’s a bad character. The only thing that proves is that no one has shown how to harness his potential and become elite. People used to think Ice Climbers sucked, but Chu came and showed people their potential and now people are thinking of putting him in upper tier at least. All of a sudden, no one degrades Ice Climbers anymore. They’re the same Ice Climbers, nothing about the character changed, just that someone became elite with them and showed what they can really do. In the future, the same can happen with Bowser and possibly others considered to be sucky characters. After all, some other characters like Link and DK might get a promotion, so who’s to say lower tiered characters won’t? The reason we’ve seen elite Sheik and Fox and Marth players is because a lot of noobs pick those characters and then get good with them and then become elite. Then the tier list is made and others are influenced to use those same characters, and the cycle continues as more noobs flock to smashboards.

Translation: screw tiers and pick whoever the **** you want.

Except this could never happen with Bowser because he can't handle certain characters period. If I wanted to, I could write one sentence down right now, and whoever wanted to beat a Bowser would beat him. Just one simple strategy to always employ when you fight him, and he's nothing. I swear. Bowser will only be middle at best for this reason.

I BELIEVE that Bowser and Pichu were the only two in BOTTOM tier. This will be changed soon though when all of us who are "elite" redo the tier list like we are discussing in the back room now.
