Don't look at me like im an idiot.
I know that most of the time you just WoP off of the edge.
The purpose of this topic is to talk about other ways that are useful. One in particular i have in mind is against the space animals. It seems they cant get a break against cute little Ninja Jiggly.
Anyway ive noticed that when they start the foxfire WoPing can sometimes be difficult... however Jiggs dair goes right through it. If a space animal is off the side and i see them start up the fire, i hop out above them and dair when they try to fire up to the ledge. Of course this is slightly more useful when you know they have to come up to the ledge. However i find it a very good tactic and it frustrates the mess outa my bro.
Also with many other chars, if you dont have the time to jump out before they get close there are some other tricks that i like... but ill just leave the floor open for now. :D

I know my friend interrupts my firebird all the time with some sort of aerial. I'm not sure, but I think the dair, nair, or bair can still stop the firebird as long as it's in the middle of the firebird animation where much of the momentum is lost. Also, usually Falco will only firebird if he is below the edge, and due to fear of being edgeguarded, will always try to sweetspot the ledge. As a result, I'm pretty sure Jiggly can just edgehog (and press R). Downsmash is always good too. But I can imagine how a dair would interrupt a firebird. As sad as I am to say it, almost anything can stop falco's firebird :(.
(and yes, falco is my main) ^^

Same as with a lot of characters, just back air from the ledge: you can press down, jump, back air, and land right back on the ledge, works very well in my experience.

thats true, but u have experience so do i, but what about the n00bs, if they can't do that yet what should they do to counter an edge guard?

Jigglypuff's sex kick works wonders against just about anyone, especially Fox and Falco. I've kept a Falco off the edge from 10% to death at about 60% using nothing but a sex kick. It's a good all-around move for Jigglypuff in general.

if you r facing CF or fox or any other charactors that have an up b that can hurt u use nair and they will get hit back every time

I always did this , but I think you guys will say its a n00b move.
I used to use the side b when they try to recover but I know that it will go to the opposite direction , so I face the edge and try to pound them , they go down and the opposite direction , then I thought that that move may be to obvious so I just use kicks. What does everyone think?
I did this to a Captain Falcon and he couldn't get up , falco is worse :P
I had to say I was quite threatened by CF , he could spike me!
The fear of jigglypuff from players is because of the rest , it makes them think twice before going all out offensive.

The most pwnz0r edgeguard is jumping off and Resting them on their last stock. It's even better if they die before you...

Ha ha; Stilleto, you've been talking to Taj too much; he always tells Brandon that he has to finish the match with a sacrificial rest XD
Still though, if you can land it... man does that hurt. Not so much the character. More so the pride of the player. Just like ledgehopping a d-air with Marth to spike your hopeful opponent.

I ususally just Bair until they can't get back. Sometimes, and I do mean sometimes, Jiggy's sex kick off the edge rocks. Try it against Fox or Falco to see what I mean.

Seriously , thats what most players will do to fast fallers , whatever character it is (with exceptions)

B moves > A moves in edgeguarding.
Ending with a rest "outside of the air" is THE way to kill people.
Rollout edgeguarding is just way to cool, and if you manage to get back to the stage with the little bounce, then the opponent = Own'D
>___>
Else just jump put and use any aerial except up.

a pretty noobtactular edge guard is dsmashing by the edge. difficult, yes because u must time it perfect. but it is semi useful against characters with slow upb recoveries, like ganon and CF

Yes , I used to do that and I rarely hit , so now I just jump out and bair and dair

Yeah, it pisses them off big time.
If you know an opponent is going to over shoot the edge and you are on the opposite side of final destination (for example) use roll out and force them to either grab the edge or land and get whacked. If you noticed they are going to sweetspot in response to you charging up roll-out let go and continue the fight.
Even though it is hard to land a roll-out it is still a devastating move and strikes fear into most people when they are vernable (like recovering). Rolling out causes more fear and thus equals a mind-game tactic.
Most people will take the sweet spot but when you force people to make decisions in reaction to your own you own the speed of the game.

Actually the dsmash is pretty effective at lower percentages. It has the same, or at least similiar, knockback as Sheiks slap or Link's Spin Slash. Now I'm not saying sit at the ledge and wait for them, I'm saying something like dair at the sweetspot in order to just barely stop their up-b and, hopefully, get them to panic and up-b quick enough to get put down by a Jigglypuff smash attack. Of course 80% or more of the time you will be WoPing but doing this could get you the one stock needed to win.

There are a few things i'd like to say. First of all going out to the person and Fair into Nair that sends the person pretty far. Another way to edgeguard is to hang onto the ledge and when the person gets close press back, jump, and Bair a few times. Most of these have probably been said before but i'm to lazy to read all of it.
