I was reading some of the samus guides and the threads, but I can't seem to use bomb jumping properly. Is there a way to drop them faster? When I try to bomb jump the pause in between each bomb is enough for me to drop low enough so that my friend can land an aerial. He plays Marth so his aerial game is really good. Should bomb jumping be used solely for getting back to the stage, and how does it work exactly.

here's an example(at least in my world)
if you've been knocked in the air and set up for juggling, even if youre not really high up and you see them jump u could lay a bomb, DI left or right. that's not even a jump. then lay another bomb and DI back into the first. if the opponent hits one of them there's some damage. if the opponent hits your first bomb not only are you damaging them but youre hopping up for extra air time for either an arial or getaway.

you can also use it on the ground. Samuses BJ is shorter than her SH( I thinK) so if you lay a bomb and DI away from your opponent they can't run straight at you giving you more options and time to react. If you WD back into the bomb you are propelled up alittle letting you get in a damaging arial. You could combo them by dropping a bomb, DI to lay another, DI back to the first and get a fair or dair to ensure minmal knockback then l cancel WD back into the second bomb to pop up again and either get in another arial if they run at you or drop another bomb, DI back, drop another DI into the first BJ again...I think you get the picture.

It's also a great stagger attack. for instance recovering on the edge if you are above your opponent you could drop a bomb DI over your opponent, drop another, DI back to the first and BJ int to a sex kick. Fast fall that into the first bomb if it didn't hityour opponent so if you've missed with the bomb and the first sex kick(if you don't miss w/ the first bomb the sek kick will get them b/c the bomb will stun them) then you'll BJ off the second bomb into another arial. So not only do you get back to the stage, and you stop being edge guarded and you have one or two hits into boot. All thanks to bomb jumping

Good heavens dont try to use bombs for offense if thats what you're doing! You wont get anywhere by trying to bombjump Marth to death. XD

Bomb jumping should be used for: Recovering, Defensive/evasive manoeuvres, and edge guarding. Very rarely would I say laying a bomb directly on someone on purpose was a good idea to get a little combo or even some dmg going.

Regarding your recovery, dont be stone cold obvious with it, when you bomb jump you can wiggle about a bit to confuse your trajectory, and never try to bomb jump back to the stage when you are low enough to by reached with a single jump, thats just stupid. Dont do it.

Practise sweetspotting the edge with your grapple beam instead of Up-B to the edge, this (when done well) is near unstoppable, it knocks edgeguarders clear, is done out of tip range, instantly draws you to the edge and its sacred frames of temp invincibility, and ensures you another crack at getting back onstage.

Bombs laid at the edge are good for any type of step up from the edge, but i dont recommend bouncing around in them, might cost you if they drop, jump and Fair you. If they're good that is. Rain bombs when you are coming from high up against Marth. Keeping him guessing is all thats saving you from the next uptilt or dam fsmash. But like I said, do not do it too low to the stage.
