I have alot of trouble fighting falco with link because that short hop blaster prevents me from useing my bommerang and I use that thing alot. The way I battle it to jump around the opponent and throw projectiles at them to combo with my sword. I just cant seem to combo falco without my bommerang.
Any help?

Falco, being a fast faller, is difficult for Link to combo, at low percentages at least, because he can touch the ground and tech or tech roll before Link can execute the next move.

The good mind game method to set up combos against Falco is to use the hookshot. Grab him and throw him down. Of course Falco can tech out because he a fast faller. The idea is to follow him with the hookshot and keep tossing him down and hookshot him as he techs. Until you notice he stops teching. The objective IS to get him to stop teching. Try to following him when he stalls to avoid the hookshot and try to get him another time with the hookshot. When he doesn't tech, you can link in a down smash to a up tilts into more down smashes and up tilts. Mix up your offense and keep Falco guessing.

The hookshot method is all mind games, though. Plus, you have to recognize the opportunity for the first hookshot. You have to be alert and extreme quick with your reaction and execution. Half the time you might just be guessing. There is an big risk if mistime your hookshot and execute it too late then Falco will have enough time to excape and catch you in your hookshot recovery.

Other than that, you will have to rely on getting all the hits you can land whether it's a combo or not.

In a Link vs Falco match, Falco should do more damage than Link. Your real objective, as Link, should be try to get Falco off the platform and edgeguard rather then rack up his percentages and knocking him out of the screen.

up-smash, up-tilt, and up-air are all incredibly effective against Falco. Of course, a Falco that likes to spike into double shine can give Link a hard time. Once you get past all the SHLs and get Falco into the air, it shouldn't be too hard to do. Shield grabbing a Falco from a spike is generally NOT a good idea because of spike -> double shine. I think you can SH to up-air before Falco can FF to spike again, though I'm not 100% sure, I haven't really played against any incredibly good Falcos. In fact, I'd say I haven't really played against very many decent Falcos, so my Link vs. Falco experience is pretty limited.

Instead of doing up-tilts, I'd recommend up-smashes from the d-smash, unless the Falco is really good at DIing, in which case you should use the up-tilt, just in case he DIs away, you won't be lagged for nearly as long (but up-smash is better damage, and all hits will generally hit, plus you can follow it up with an up-tilt to d-smash, or up-airs).
