The question is simple...

are there percent ranges where DIing a certain way is better?

Does the way the marth should DI depend on what he anticipates the sheik will try to follow up with after her down throw?

If so, then if one anticipates sheiks follow up to be the following, what direction should the marth DI?:

sheik dthrows to:

grab again (chain grab)= what direction should marth DI if he anticipates this?

forward tilt = what direction should marth DI if he anticipates this?

up tilt = what direction should marth DI if he anticipates this?

slap = what direction should marth DI if he anticipates this?

uair = what direction should marth DI if he anticipates this?

If the way a marth should DI does not depend on what you anticipate the sheik will follow up with after her dthrow, then does it depend on the marth's percentage?

If so, could someone briefly give me percent ranges with DI directions.

for example:

10-30%..DI diagonally upward...etc.

^^that statement is not true, it's just an example showing the format I would like the answer in.

Or, should marth simply DI right/left? right+upward/left+upward?

How should a marth DI sheik's downthrow, basically, is my question?

you don't let her get you in the first place, anyway, Marth is pretty floaty so he shouldn't be screwed in a chain grab for long.

BTW, if your theFalcoMasta, then why are you asking questions about marth. I know the answer it just seemed kind of funny...

This POST IS SPAM. Sorry, I just wanted to see your reaction...

At low %'s if you DI towards Sheik you get up tilts or another grab, so DI'ing away is generally better, though you'll probably get forward tilted, but you can probably get away after that.

At high %'s DI behind Sheik if you can, especially near the edge, if you're lucky all she can hit you with is a non-sweetspot bair, which is obviously better than the slap or uair.

However, if you know for a fact that Sheik will downthrow into as a forward tilt or try to slap (basically a n00b Sheik that only forward tilt spams), then DI up and towards her at pretty much any %. A good Sheik will know to up tilt, grab, or uair you though.

Whatever you do, don't DI away (unless you'd be DI'ing towards the center of a big stage, like if you were grabbed on the left edge of FD but Sheik is facing right) from her at high percents (about 70%+), unless you're at almost 200%. (I'm estimating here but it's pretty high) You WILL get slapped, and you'll be DI'ing away from the stage, ensuring your death or at least an easy edge-guard.

She can chain grab n00bs if they play floaty chars...>_>

And she can semi-chain throw maybe once or twice on Yoshi i think, by using f tilt to grab...
