Well we all know that with Roy, this move is awesome. So what combinations do you guys do with it?

I usually use b, up+b, and then b again to try and knock them off the edge to kill them and b, b, down+b to get some room by knocking them back or kill CC.

And also with a combination of b, up+b, and then up+b, is there any advice what to do after that?

following a third step upward strike, if it spikes, you can chain it directly to a downward 4th step if your opponent doesn't tech, or techs in-place.

DED isn't truly "awesome." If your opponent crouch cancels it, you're screwed. That's not to say never use it and that it isn't useful, but it can lead to bad things. But if your opponent is in the air (either because you threw them or they got hit or jumped), it can be quite useful. If they are near the edge, and you throw them, B, B, up B is useful. Never stop at 3 though, go for the 4th, because if they meteor cancel, the last might hit them (it's happened to me). B, B, down B usually kills anyone CCing (pushes them away), but not always. If you're falling, you can use the first stage of the DED to stop falling and screw up your opponents timing, leaving you open for a free hit if you're lucky. The 4th hit up hits a large area, higher than your fsmash, and hits through a shield if their head is poking through. It's also good to vary the timing between each hits to screw with your opponent, and to sometimes to 2 hits, then maybe 4 to catch them off-gaurd, then maybe 3. I believe if you use the first hit, you can then SH to reverse blazer some chars, like jiggs.

If they crouch cancel it, stay at a distance and smack with the third one up. What I mean is punish him be smacking him into the ground with a spike, then following up with a down if he doesn't tech and a forward if he does.

If they crouch cancel one hit, you're screwed. They won't necessarily wait until after the third hit to punish you. So staying at a distance and smacking them with the third hit up won't do squat.

I wouldn't know, when I played Roy as a noob a couple years ago, I never played anyone who even knew what the **** crouch cancling was, so you have to be right...

I'm not trying to piss you off, I'm being dead serious

DED is pretty darn good, but CCing does kill it quite well. The trick to landing it is to force them not to be a CC *****. The best way to do that is some will placed forward smashes and grabs.

I typically use DED when:

1: An opponent is coming in with an aerial or is above me, but I don't have time to land a forward smash. Instead I will hit with DED. Most of the time I won't be able to combo like this, unless they were really close to the ground, but if nothing else it stops their momentum and screws them over a bit. Master DED's vertical range, cause most people don't expect it to cover the area above you so well.

2: Fishing. I will often run and throw out a single DED strike, just to see if my opponent gets caught in it, shields it, CC's it, etc. It's pretty safe to do on a lot of characters, although this is still punishable by some. If I do hit them and they aren't CCing, I will then proceed with the combo, usually either > > > or > ^ >. Remember > ^ > ownz fast fallers.

If you want to see crazy DED just look up Masashi's vids on CJ's site. I don't know how that guy pulls off as much DED stuff as he does, but that is a good example of how to use it right.

As for good DED combos the 2 best are definitely > > > and > ^ >.

Notable mentions are > > v and > ^ ^/ > > ^.

I really don't use the later 3 though, because if I catch an opponent in > > > or > > ^ I would rather knock them with the powerful 3rd hit forward than anything else.

I rarely use any 4th hits either, cause it's just not that feasable *spelling* most of the time.

yeah 4th hit sucks
