Try to time Fox's sex kick so that it comes out right as it touches the opponent. This is effective for most sex kicks, but I find it especially useful with Fox. The knockback is greatly increased. Also good if you can L-cancel that.
Do you know the drill shine combo? Use Fox's d-air until you hit the ground, L-cancel immediately then use your shine attack. If you do it correctly, they cannot recover in between your two attacks.
Fox's u-air = godly.
Fox's shine can be used to screw up the recovery of most characters, especially when they're at high percentages. When they're coming back to the ledge after being hit, hop off and quickly shine them, then up-B back to the ledge. They usually die.
hoppint tips: practice. just go into training mode and don't worry about anything else but hopping. pick fd and just hop in place for half an hour. if you can't do it consistently, don't sweat it, don't burn out. you get tired of it, go jack around, but come back to it. it's not easy to do, it'll take a while, especially if you're not used to it. once you get to doing it consistently in place, do it while dashing. once you're down with that, add in attacks, try to cancel them. once you got that, just make sure you're using it in matches, basically real world practice.
fox doesn't have the greatest priority or range, something different from dorf. instead, he has slightly above average priority, low range, and very high speed. your speed is your priority. you want to be able to shuffle very consistently into shines and be able to cancel those into both jumps and wd's (even grabs and usmashes, if you're happening). that's the basis of fox's game: safe offense; if you learn to cancel effectively, you won't get punished and they'll have to hit you before you hit them.
and i'll have to move this to the fox/falco forum... see you there.
