Do any Marth players regularly use this move? I've been practicing with it quite a bit and it has very good knockback and comes out pretty quickly. In addition you can do it out of a shield. It seems to combo pretty well with F-air. Its a very surprising edgeguarding technique in my opinion. I guess a major downside is if you miss with it you're left wide open for some pain. If you don't know how to do this; you just do Marth's upB but immediately press the opposite direction you are facing, if you are slightly above them, it will send them horizontally away. I haven't tested it on shieldgrabbers yet, but I think it comes out quickly enough to prevent a grab after an L-cancelled aerial.

I am a big fan of Roy's Reverse Blazer, and because of that I love Marth's Reverse Dolphin Slash as well. I saw some vids of Japanese players using it against Roy's and it seemed to work well. Anden was quite adept with it when I played him, and it was pretty **** effective.
Try using it from a shorthop, it's a lot easier for me to hit people with it that way.

I've found that it works fastest after an enemy has missed grabbing you. After he misses the grab just press up and b, its probably the fastest and most effective move you can make after that, and if its close enough to an edge you'll surely knock him far enough...
Yeah! I use this very rarely as a finisher when comboing someone. Fair/nair the person to the edge and reverse dolphin slash the guy when he's at the distance for optimum knockback.

I do it on certain stages or platforms that I know I will land after it is finished....but I normaly forget to use it in actual tourney fights :p haven't put it 100% in my game yet...
But yea make sure to always do it in a place where there will be no consequence....
I normally start using it when the enemy is very damaged and I can't KO him/her.

Reverse up b from sheild and it should work, btw the up b from shield is good with other people too: ganon, falcon, fox(cause the stun usually engulfs them and then you can hit them and get away easily since it goes so far), sheik, mewtwo, pika/pichu, etc.
